1946 CJ-2A Allentown, PA **SOLD**

• CATEGORIES: CJ-2A • TAGS: This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $5200

It’s not a perfect restoration, but might be worth a look.

“F/S: 1946 Willy’s CJ2-A $5,200
This Jeep runs and drives excellently. It has new wheels and tires, fuel tank, master brake cylinder, and a 12 volt battery conversion (much more reliable than the old 6 volt systems). The Jeep has fresh oil, brake fluid, clean oil/air filters, new spark plugs, and freshly packed grease fittings.

The Jeep is a blast to drive. The 4×4, in combination with the big tires and small wheelbase, makes it a beast off-road. The “Go Devil” four cylinder motor is true to its reputation as being reliable and powerful. Also, it has a Power Take Off in the rear that can be used to power farm equipment like a generator, wood splitter, or winch. A working PTO is a rare option to find in these Jeeps.

Overall, this is an excellent old jeep. Keep in mind, though, it is almost 70 years old. It is great for cruising around town, back roads, or off-roading, but it can’t do highways. It can be driven home locally, but I would recommend transporting it over far distances. Transportation can be arranged through me for a serious buyer.
*The headlights and one brake light recently stopped working, but I have the parts to fix them and I hope to have it done before selling it.”

The body doesn’t look like a M-38 tub. It’s missing the fuel inlet. Maybe it’s a mb/gpw tub?

Rebuilt Starter, Rebuilt alt, Original Air Cleaner and Oil Bath (Very Hard to find) . Radiator Cleaned, Fuel Tank cleaned, New Fuel Sending unit. Frame off with all new Body Bushings and Hardware. Interior floor sprayed With Back Rhino lining. New Hood. Windsheild wipers, Windshield is cracked. Has a hard top manf by a after market dealer in Houston Texas in the 50s. This jeep was put back together original . Has the original flat head motor rebuilt. 3 speed 4×4 standard transmission . This jeep is ready to drive. There are a couple things, needs to be painted if you want. There is not a back seat. The brakes have all been replaced, rotors, pads, lines, springs, but for some reason i cant get them right.??? Tires are brand new i put them on basically to roll around to repair, Would suggest getting some type of mud tire. Other than that this thing is ready to have fun with. If you are looking for something to tear down and put a 350 engine and transmission in, this jeep is not for you.”
