A Tear Drop Camper for a MB

• CATEGORIES: Magazine, trailer This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

Steve spotted this great article about a jeep owner who decided to build a teardrop trailer for his rig.  Alan Johnson wrote the article as part of the premiere issue of Cool Tears and Tiny Campers Magazine, a magazine devoted to small campers.

The more I look at these, the more one of these might be a good solution for our trip back east.  I guess I’ll need to share this idea with my wife.

You can read the entire story from Cool Tears here

Fumigator on the back of Flattie

• CATEGORIES: Features, Fire/Police/Industry Vehicles, Magazine • TAGS: This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

This short blurb about a fumigator on the back of a jeep was published in the January, 1948, issue of Popular Mechanics and available for free at Google. It doesn’t indicate whether this is a custom unit or an aftermarket fumigator available for the jeep.  I see no indication it is powered by the jeep; it may be self contained.

Dune Buggy Jeep with Box on eBay

• CATEGORIES: toys This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

Not perfect, but pretty good.

“A Tonka Toys Jeep Dune Biggy in the box. The box does show some light soiling and wear. The jeep also shows some light soiling/wear. There is some light surface rust on the axles, very minor. There are two stickers that say Tom on them, I have not tried to remove them. Overall a nice used boxed toy.”

1942 GPW + GPW Body Waynesville, OH eBay

• CATEGORIES: GPW (Ford MB) This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

UPDATE: This is listed on eBay.  More pictures added.

(02/01/2013) With the dogs and the cage, this could have been an old racer.

“1942 WW2 Ford GPW (Jeep) with matching S/N# GPW 82585 on frame, engine, and title. Clear Ohio title in my name. Needs restoration. The engine does turn over. It has a T90 transmission with the original syle transfer case. I bought it to restore but I’ve can see I’ll never get to it because I have too many other of projects. The tub needs new floors and sheet metal work. It’s been cut out for a tailgate. Obvious rust for its age. Front end, hood to dash look pretty good. From dash back will need work. Many “F” marked parts. I do have another better GPW tub that I am including in this auction. In the picture it is on a running gear that has been sold. The sale includes the red tub (only) and the 1942 GPW.

These are pictures when I bought it. I cleaned it up some and took off the roll cage and most civilian parts. I’ve got more pictures but couldn’t find them right now. The jeep is in storage, and I’ll have to pull it out to take more pictures.

I am selling this as is and am happy to answer any questions and send more pictures. Call: 937-862-4182

I can load this on your trailer.”
