Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. (09/28/2012) Bob spotted this one. That sure looks like a Bobcat fiberglass body to me, based on the wide rear top lip and the steps that taper to the body fold.

This is rough with rust. It appears to have a twist looking from the front.
“For Sale a 1947 Willys Jeep with a Clear Title Starts up and sounds good Not the original engine. Has the same # of my friends 1952 army jeep.Was told buy owner that engine had been rebuilt. Then parked in 2003. I put a new gas tank in it & points, master cylnder,& brake lines, plugs. Started up. I have driven it around my yard, but the brakes don’t work. Previous owner has patched the floor & other areas will work to drive as is. Underneath is rusty so is where you see primere. Frame is pretty solid except for right by the front spring mounts, there is alittle bit of rust. I took pictures they will be the last two. if you need more info let me know.THIS JEEP NEEDS A LOT OF WORK BUT IT RUNS & DRIVES & CLEAR TITLE IN MY NAME It is also advertised localy so i reserve the right to end the auction early.

(11/01/2012) Not sure about the rear bumper, but everything else looks good.
“Runs good, drives good, looks good. 4-wheel drive, high/low range, 4 cyl f-head engine. 30k original miles. New shocks, tie rod ends, newish tires, 3.5 inch lift, converted to 12 volt, recent brake overhaul including all wheel cylinders, lines as well as shoes, rebuilt carb, new wiring, refurbished wooden flooring etc. All fluids recently changed, no rust and recent repaint, clean inside and out and underneath. Ready to go to a new home.”
Bob spotted this Yogi Bear game sporting a jeep today. The jeep looks CJ-3Bish to me. Looking on eBay, I found four different games for sale.

Here’s an early Slattie.
“1941 willys mb slat grille. this is a very early jeep. according to the gee 503 dot com. some say it is a first or second day production.
I will list specifics that this jeep has. it has a running willys engine. with a mb 111471 that is the number on the water pump housing on the jeep engine. which consequently is the vin number. no dash plate with number or number on the frame.
this engine runs and purrs like a kitten. I base all my information of the g503 where this is a possible us replacement army engine out of the 50s but it is NOT the correct engine.
Some awesome pieces are included in the sale. Slat grille radiator (which may have a leak in the middle) Gas gauge. previous owner said it worked when the tank was full. but I doubt it. don’ tknow. air filter is early as well. there a slat air deflectors on the side of the fenders. and the big one on bottom of the hood. engine smokes a little when it is first fired up. but the jeep drives starts stops. all three gears work”

A quick update; It was a good month:
1. Total page views topped 11,200,000 as of the end of November since eWillys began. Almost half of those have been in the past twelve months.
2. In October and November total page views per month topped 500,000.
3. The total number of posts on eWillys passed the 20,000 post mark.
4. This was the best advertising month ever, which helps keep the lights burning and my fingers typing. Because of that, I’ve been able to purchase a few brochures and other useful content items which I will share over time.
Just a few updates this morning and tomorrow so I can focus on writing.
UPDATE II: Clint did some research on Farm-aide and uncovered some additional information.
This is an ad for the Mellen plow that was used in conjunction with the Farm-Aid Hydraulic attacher.

John from Saskatchewan, Canada, has a question about the Farm-Aid Implement Company from Norwalk, CA. John wanted to know more about the company or about the implement. I did a few searches, but all I could learn was that the company was sold in 1948 to Krause Plow. Anyone have any additional information about this rare disc equipment?
