Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1955 Willys Utility Truck – Original
Restored to original condition.
L 6-226 Super Hurricane inline 6 cylinder motor, new interior, original gauges, stock rims and tires available, I have been driving with the Centerlines and TA’s. Runs great, just put over $3000 into the motor. This a a real classic at a great price.”

The frame has been powder coated and most everything is there, but the seller claims this is a “mystery jeep”? I’m gonna bet the seller also doesn’t have a title for this. This just sounds a bit sketchy on the face of it. I’m gonna guess this is a late 1950s/ early 1960s CJ-5 or CJ-3B?

I can’t tell if the sides have been patched or a protective plate added.

Engine still intact, but hasn’t been started in many years. Great restoration project. Has all of the original gauges, rims, mechanical parts, but the body itself is a bit rusty. Serious inquiries only please.”
