Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1947 Willys Truck
This is 68 years old and has been used as a truck. It is not a show truck. I used it to plow my drive way. Hydraulic up gravity down on plow. Hydraulics powered by a power steering pump. Works great for what I used it for. Has 4cyl jeep eng. & stock trans, transfer case. 4wd works great, hi and low range. It is dented and rusty. I have not used it for two years. Needs a battery, oil changed and probably fuel system cleaned. If I do this I will want more. I haven’t tried to do anything with it since I last parked it.
Bring a trailer and the cash. I have a clear title in my name. NO I won’t take anthing less than the list price of $975. No I wont waste any more time holding the truck for anyone. First come with the cash gets the truck. No this is not a show truck. It is dented and rusty. Frame is cracked by the steering box and needs a better repair than it has. the price is $975. Yes ALL 1947 Willys Trucks came with a steel bed floor. Calling or texting is the best way to get me.. I have owned it for 9yrs..”

“Small one man shop in Croydon with tons of Jeep parts and parts Jeeps. Have been collecting Jeeps and Jeep parts for over 15 years and need to sell off some stuff to make room for more projects. Have saved rare and common parts mostly older CJ and J-truck but plenty of YJ and TJ please call and leave a message with the parts you are looking for and I will get back to you. “I am selling this jeep for parts only, it can be used for parts, off road or on the farm. The sheet metal is has a lot of rust. The drive train is all there and the engine turns over but I have not had it started. It has no title. It does have a lot of good parts.”

He writes, I wanted to share with ewillys the event I went to this weekend. It was hosted in Elkhart, Indiana. Everyone was very nice to talk to and quite knowledgeable about every question I had to ask. The Jeeps guys have me convinced I need to join the group!
The Willys MB I’m standing next to has a very unique story, the guy who bought it had to go through an interview before the seller would let it go. The steel soldier landed on the beaches of Normandy, and later the Battle of the Bulge. The driver had it shipped back home where his father would pick it up. It was completely original (aside from the tires and paint) and was loaded with everything it went to war with. In order to be eligeable to purchase it, the owner agreed he would use it in reenactments and continue to tell it’s story.
In the pictures of the MB with the front ammo box, there is indeed an airplane flying above! I even got to ride around the camps in the slat grille.

Tom need some help with his FC bumper and asked me to post this. He hopes to either locate the brackets and spacers he needs or get templates for them.
He writes, “Recently, I was able to buy a Ramsey Winch Bumper for my FC-170. Unfortunately, the bumper did not include the mounting brackets and 1″ spacers. Please let me know if you have any of these parts. Even if you aren’t interested in selling, I would like to get some paper templates so I can recreate them if necessary. Your help is appreciated. Here are some pictures of the parts I need.”
