UPDATE: I had this as a CJ-5, but Andy pointed out that it looks more like a M-38A1. He’s right.
The jeep runs, but may need a new clutch.
“Up for sale is my 1957 Willy’s Jeep. Truck has the F-Head 4 cylinder, three speed tranny with the PTO, truck is showing 77,xxx on the odometer. Also has a 6 foot plow on the front of it. Truck has a steel hardtop with full steel doors. I think the Jeep needs a clutch cause with it running, it won’t move at all. I bought this as a project but I have way to many things to work on right now so this has to go. Have the registration in hand, ready to go. Has not been on the road since 1982. Also still has the military badge on the dash with instructions on how to drive it. This is a pretty cool piece of history. Asking $1,400 or B/O. May also be interested in trades, shoot me offer of what you have. My cell number is 715-6148, best way to get a hold of me is by texting.”
One has a rear PTO.
“For Sale: Two 1946 cj2a willys. One is very restorable, the other is for parts. Has rear pto with pto gear box. Very original. Everything intact. 1600.00 for both. Some extra parts avail. Call 231- 342-9813 if interested”

I am only looking for US military items at this time and am not a dealer just a guy restoring a few pieces to save some of our history. thanks for taking the time to read my ad. 585-749-8880 Russ”
The seller lists this as a “Willys MB”, but I’m pretty sure this is a M-38. I wouldn’t bring it up, except that the seller is the one that wants someone to “respect the history of this fine automobile.”
“This jeep is awesome. It speaks for itself, runs like a dream, and puts a huge smile on your face while driving around. Does get tons of attention, so be prepared to talk a lot about it. I am more interested in a trade rather than selling.
Rides I’ll consider: Classic American Muscle 60’s to late 70’s, 1980 Corvette, classic trucks.
Please no spam, and don’t need to sell so no idiotic offers. Must also love jeeps and respect the history of this fine automobile.
I am bringing it to my mechanic to have him put new brakes on this week. Better to be safe in this mini-tank.”
“WE ARE LOOKING FOR A JEEP WILLYS MECHANIC TO REBUILD A 1948 L-134 FLAT HEAD ENGINE.
PH#541-490-4387.”
I don’t think that is a ’45. The data plate is wrong at the very least. Also, it has a floor shift. There is a big gap between the windshield and the cowl.
“1945 willys jeep all original garage kept and very clean has good title and all motor and body plates match. CALL AARON 941=232=6425 DO NOT E MAIL!! DO NOT E MAIL!!”
