This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1946 Jeep CJ2A rolling chassis. Everything but one rear spring. Includes motor, trans and transfer case, front fenders, steering wheel, and clutch, and brake pedals. Nice solid frame, no rust.”

(03/20/2015) One jeep runs.
“I have two Willys Jeep CJ2A a 1947 and a 1948. The 48 is titled, but completely disassembled for restoration. I have a lot of spare parts, including a complete spare motor. I also have a 47 that runs drives and stops. It does not have a title. The tub on the 47 is rusty with patches. I bought a restored CJ2A and lost interest in this restoration. I am willing to discuss prices on parting out or making a package deal. Respond with name and phone number if interested.”

“Google it! Extremely Rare! It’s the Loch Ness of the Jeep Forums! Heard about, but rarely seen! This IS the real thing! 1949 Willys Overland CJ2A Jeep! Only 2182 of these were produced. Original motor and transmission! Will crank! Body in excellent shape! Great project for restoration/history buff!”

I felt better today, but still sneezing and coughing quite a bit, so I laid low. However, Ann spent some time wandering around Alamogordo taking photos (good for her!). She even managed to wiggle her way onto private grounds to photograph a building used in several movies (Fred and Cindy tells us that usually NO ONE is allowed to go inside the gates). I hope to publish some of her photos on Wednesday. We will most likely leave Tularosa on Wednesday.
I got a bit of good news. Ann and I will be the inaugural guests at Red River’s Bed and Breakfast in Fredericksburg, Texas (once the plague leaves me and we can make it there). Tomorrow I will nail down a date with James.
James runs the Red River Jeep Tours in Red River, NM, along with the Uncorked Wine Tour and now a bed and breakfast in Fredericksburg.
How about those bed lights!

Roberto writes, both have been commissioned by Mr. Firman A. Arifman, from Indonesia. He´s a Willys jeep restorer and his company is called “Reborn Workshop”, located at Yakarta. This is its Facebook website:

Very good condition – The box has slight shelf ware. The engine and one differential has been partially built. Nothing has been painted. Everything in the pictures is included. $29. No texting.”
