This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1963 Willys Pickup (Jeep) in very good condition. 1974 Chev 250 inline six in excellent condition. New Edelbrock carb, Mallory ignition, headers, new mufflers. Chev 4 speed and transfer case. All in great working condition. Comes with newer front Axel with new disc break setup. Also comes many new parts not installed. Great truck. Gets lots of looks.”
UPDATE: Dan forwarded me the wagon’s plates.
Dan spotted this wagon. He wrote, this ’57 has the rear ambulance doors of a Parkway but the regular side windows of a wagon. It has the GSA plate on the glovebox; maybe it’s a special order?

Serial number appears to be 4168 32583. The prefix should be five digits. Working backwards, the it is possible the ‘8’ refers to 4×4 and ‘6’ refers to the L-head six. The ’41’ could refer to a wagon. Maybe the ‘5’ that should be preceding the 4186 is covered?
The government plate serial number of 32583 matches VIN plate. There is not stamp indicating the military branch served by this jeep. Date of Delivery was July 1957.
UPDATE: Price dropped to $10,000.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $6000
It’s missing the parking lights and emergency brake. The rear floor might have been replaced as well.
“Runs and drives good. Has new tires. Also have the original top with the doors. Asking $6000.00 but willing to negotiate a little.”
This has an early windshield with the square bolt heads. Without the hubs or indents, the windshield may not be original to the jeep.
“1946 Willys Jeep. Good condition, solid body, unmolested. This jeep is all original, only things that are not oem is the roll bar added for saftey (these jeeps didn’t have any roll protection), a 12v conversion for more reliable starting, and modern tires. Motor is all original, original glass is intact. Odometer reads 10xxx.”

Both are projects.
“2 CJ2A jeeps. The nicer of the two has a title. Both engines are stuck from sitting. The nicer has a good frame and not horrible sheet metal. Mostly complete under the hood. Transmission shifter moves in and out of gear. Rolls easily in neutral. The second is for parts only. Body is very rusty. Good donor for spares. You are buying both jeeps for this money. I will consider separating and or parting out the tough one.”
