This GPW has been in the family for 60 years. The owner is 96.
“This is a 1943 Ford Jeep. My Dad, 96 years old now, bought this jeep in California in about 1950, and has had and maitained it all His life. This was his pride and joy. He has pictures of all us kids in it, out on the desert in Calif, and in the San Bernardino mountains. The Jeep has been in Many Parades, toting World War II, Millitary Warriors. The jeep as far as I know is all original. He always talked about it being original. He has had it in storage the last few years. We started it up, but gas tank has a leak. He has a lot of extra parts, hood, radiater, wheels, gas tank, etc. It does need some TLC, but still in Great shape for a 1943 vehicle. The seats and motor, and other parts are stamped with the Ford, letter F symbol. We took quite a few pictures, from all angles, so hopefully this will help.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.
Here’s a nice Jeepster that includes an 8-track tape player.
“Parade car. This jeepster is an older restoration from Ohio. It was a Shriner’s parade car and was in the Jeepster Club of America. I have owned and enjoyed it for three years with no problems. It has a Buick V6, power steering and an automatic transmission. I’m sure the original mileage is over 100,000 miles but I have no idea of the true miles. It was obviously restored at one time but would need to be redone at some point if you want a show car. It looks good going down the road and garners lots of attention and thumbs up. Top is good with a boot and all side windows. It is the original color scheme which was a hard to get color. It has sixteen horns and a great eight track with your very own Johnny Cash tape! I can tell that it has had some rust repair in the past which is to be expected in a 60 year old Jeepster. Buy this just in time for your local 4th of July parade. Vehicle is for sale locally, I reserve the right to end this auction early.”
This looks like a good price.
“Koenig Iron Works hard top, tow bar, flathead four runs fine needs some TLC.”
