About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

“Vintage 1946 Willys, military tribute jeep. Completed multiple engine and mechanical enhancements. Replaced plugs, plug wires set, point, rotor, condenser, distributor cap, (12-volt system) starter drive, thermostat, replaced exhaust manifold, rebuilt carburetor, replaced oil and fuel filters, replaced all fluids, i.e. antifreeze, transfer cases and transmission. Seats reupholstered in original canvas. Plus many more minor items. Bows for top, Sound clutch, all transfer cases gears run fine as well as four-wheel drive. All gages work. Next and last enhancement would be paint job. Wife says I need a pick-up truck. Will trade for older model Ford or Dodge pick-up.”
Seller is moving, so it’s a must sell item. Looks like the hardtop doors have been modified to allow for more visibility.
“1948 Willys CJ2A. F-134 Engine. Needs brake repair and fuel system work. Excellent original sheet metal. No rust, rot, patches, or welds. Good paint. Moving–must sell”
“1947 CJ2A Willys Jeep. Clean Title. Good condition. Includes mounted Ramsey 8,000 lb capacity winch. The winch alone is worth $1,000 new. Runs good. Includes tow bar.”
(04/01/2020) Mechanically, this looks like it’s been thoughtfully restored. I’m just not sure how the restorer figured out what the “correct WWII Olive Drab” would be?
“Fully restored frame-off restoration. No part of this vehicle has been left untouched.

Thanks to Prasantha for sharing this auction. Overall seems like a nice rig. There are a few non-stock items, but they are relatively trivial in my opinion.
“This 1946 Willys CJ-2A was reportedly used as an airport tug prior to its purchase by the seller five years ago. It was later refurbished and is finished in Harvest Tan over a tan canvas interior. Power is from a 134ci inline-four paired with a three-speed manual gearbox and a dual-range transfer case. Equipment includes painted steel wheels, steel bumpers, a trailer hitch, a driver-side mirror and windshield wiper, and a rear bench seat. This CJ-2A is now offered with refurbishment documents and a clean Texas title in the seller’s name….”
