This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Runs, but not driveable due to steering gear not reinstalled. New seat frames, gas tank and sending unit, rebuilt brakes front and rear, new Wilwood dual piston master cylinder, rebuilt steering gear, new front end parts. Selling for less than the cost of the new parts. $1500.00”

This has had an unusual step alteration done. Still, it looks like there’s value here.

Glenn spotted this one. Andy’s got this nice looking column shift for sale.
“NICE AND very RARE, 46′ cj-2a column shift Willys jeep serial #293xx. Nice overall condition, has been in barn storage for over 20 years.
What makes this unit more desirable is the fact that it is FACTORY built on a MB military chassis. Only a few hundred were built this way starting around serial number #29000.
Documented by a well known jeep expert, this is one of the batch of those hybrid jeeps. It is surmised that there was either a shortage of cj chassis or a bunch of leftover Military frames that needed to be used up…..not more then a handful surviving.!
Whatever the reason, this is not a homemade conversion….there are about 22 modifications done to the MB frame to make it useable for the cj2a. All brackets and mounts are custom made and factory installed. Even the machine gun mount was trimmed to fit the body.
Mostly all original with Minor civilian mods. 6v, Original chain drive engine, t90 side shift transmission.
Very rare full pto unit with drum pulley, original to the jeep. Has new bearings..
Data tags and frame tag are exceptionally nice and undamaged.
Clear title.
Has rust thru in the toolbox and some hat channels. Not a rust bucket by any means. Not all dented up.
Will need full restoration to bring it back to former glory. Had a quick cosmetic makeover done…
Don’t miss out on this super RARE column shift cj2a….not something you see everyday. It deserves a museum quality restoration.”

Has a rear PTO winch. Looks like the serial number plates have been moved to the dash. There could be some value here.

“1946 Willys Jeep, CJ/2A, flat head 4-Cylinder, twin sticks for Hi-Lo, 3-speed standard. All original still, some patch work has been done on outside body, floor is good, tires are old but hold air, and if you know these jeeps, you know you could probably use the tires for the life of it if used for deer lease or off road only. I have driven it around the neighborhood, runs and shifts great, needs brake work. partial trades considered, bangs, man toys. 4X4, old school trucks and cars, dune buggy.”
