This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1953 willys jeep that runs and drives. Has a 4 cyclinder and hi-low range. New alternater and battery. Needs brake work and electrical for headlamps etc. No title- could make a fun project.”

“Im selling a 1971 Jeep cj-5 with 29400 original miles, who wants a restored jeep when you can buy one like this, has 5 new tires, new battery, seats in great shape top is in good shape just needs a new owner and to be used, has been at the ranch the last 3 years and done alot more sitting in the barn than driving. everything works as it should.”

There may be some part value here as it should have a PTO at the very least.

This might be worth a look for a parts jeep. The seller’s logic is a bit of a stretch, implying this is a deal because new iCONs start at $80,000.
“1976 CJ5 Willys Jeep. Will need rebuild / restore. Currently does not run. 50k, cloth top, 4 speed manual and AMC wheels.
It is pretty rare to come across Willys jeeps. New these start around 80k under a new badge, iCON jeeps. Could be the ultimate off-road vehicle if he found the right owner.”
