Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “You are looking at a fully restored 1941 WILLYS MB slat grill Jeep in a factory class paint scheme. This Jeep is ready to drive and display – all canvas is included: Correct 6 strap canvas top and correct windshield cover as well as an original set of half doors. A toolkit is included and a few rare and original parts as well. Approx. 200 miles since restoration. This Jeep has a clear Virginia title. 2 keys are included with the Jeep.

“I have a 44 Ford Flat fender jeep. It has a newly rebuilt body sitting on a cj5 frame with a dana35 up front and a 44 in the rear with brand new 488 gears in both.It has a spring over done along with a reverse shackle. It has a top and doors and roll bar.It has no motor, tranny, or transfer case.
I also have a 1942 willies flat fender complete, but needs to be finished. These are project jeeps that I can not afford to finish. I also have some spare parts like t18 4speed and a dana60 high pinion rear end and a dana 60 low pinion front end out of a 1 ton 79 ford that we might be able to make a deal on.Thanks for looking, and if you are interested give me a call.”

UPDATE: Was $6700.
I will say the motor fits nicely. But, the resale value would have been far better, and the install price cheaper, if they’d just rebuilt a flathead.
“Restored frame off older restoration. Jeep has all the original appeal with a professional install of a Toyota 20r motor. custom fabricated motor mounts and tranny bell housing. Includes hard to find pto drive (not installed) Sold on a bill of sale already had WSP inspection done and submitted to DOL. Started off life as a farm vehicle never licensed or taken on the road.”

Body is rough and the indents are missing/filled in, but it runs.

“Up for sale is my 1942 Willys MB Jeep. These WWII Jeeps are gaining in popularity and have become one of the “the must buy” affordable collector vehicles. I picked up this Jeep from the Northern reaches of the Bay Area where it had been parked for years due to a bad valve. Since acquiring the Jeep, I have addressed all the major issues to make this Jeep an extremely reliable cruiser. In fact, I drive it all the time to do local errands and to attend local car shows.

“1942-1944 Willy’s MB Jeep. This is a military MB model Jeep. Has newer F head engine, not running but did run. Has original military transmission and transfer case, and front and rear axles. Hood has been modified for F head engine. Minimal rust on body. Three original 16″ wheels and also one original combat wheel.
