“have an old 1943 willys jeep for sale or trade. I am not putting a price on it because best offer will move it. It has big tires that are holding air and has been ran in last 18 months. It has original engine as well. Needs restored. call or text 205-240-3755 for pics or more info”
It’s a project.
“Its all there but has not been run for 20 plus years. Definitely a project but its getting rare to find ones like this all together in one piece. Gotten in trade and we are not the ones to restore this oldie.. Are you? We have checked and can’t find many for sale anywhere so we are asking $3000.00 but will consider all offers.. prefer cash but might consider a trade …maybe another vehicle or a trailer. We can deliver and there is an original title. Email with questions or to make appointment to see.”
UPDATE: Was $1800. **SOLD**
The body and grille suggest this might actually be a MB/GPW.

“This Jeep is a restoration project. It is a complete unit. Has not been on the road for about 10 years. The motor is not the original it is a 1950’s 6 cyl flat head Continental. The motor if kept will need a rebuild. The transmission is original and works fine but will need new seals. The rear end was rebuilt. The front end works fine. The canvas top might be salvagable but is not in the best shape. It has bucket seats which are not original. It is still a 6 volt system.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1000.
“1943 jeep, WWII, missing data plates. Looks to be all there but is more of a parts vehicle than a fixer. $1,000 San Diego area. Buyer to pick up/load.”
It looks nice, thought it appears there may be a hole cut in the hood for the air cleaner.

With a serial number of 455948, this was within the last 5000 MBs produced. The highest MB serial number that I know of is 459851 (http://wwiijeepparts.com/Archives/JeepSerialNumber.html).

Buz spotted this auction of old jeeps. They are in bad shape, but some have some interesting features, including the last one. I’d like to know what type of headlights those are. My first guess is that they are the same that i used on Biscuit, ’59 Olds 5.5″
