(01/14/2024) Thanks to Mike for sharing this Fresno-area modified flat fender. It’s got the stylish doors, the muller top, and many other updates. Note the care taken to build the front drive shaft around the automatic transmission.

“I have a custom 1943 Willy’s for sale. She is powered by a Chevy v8 350 with a t350 automatic transmission and a split transfer case. Chevy rear end with 3.73’s. Custom removable vinyl windows and roof to make it a fully convertible vehicle. Steering box was pushed forward to accommodate the power steering, custom made drivelines to GM front and rear end. Everything from suspension to interior and paint has been customized and done right. Everything on this rig works as it should. She is a 4×4 Hotrod that gets tons of looks and compliments!”

The seller notes this is likely an MB, even though it is registered as a GPW. The engine is out of it.

“1945 or so Willy’s military jeep. Registered as a Ford GPW but my research says Jeep/Willys. Original flat head block has crack in #4 cylinder hole. I found good block and crank but have lost interest in job. I was driving Jeep until cylinder lost compression last year. Brakes just rebuilt. New tires. Original transmission and running gear. Pretty much all original with some rust and bondo. I have current registration. Selling as is and must towed (has tow bar). If interested email me and we can negotiate.”

The engine runs, see video, I replaced the entire wheel brake system. Something is broken in the transmission. Front and rear differentials will most likely need to be overhauled. It has four brand new wheels and tires. Brand new windshield glass. It also has an over drive transmission. The price is firm If you have $5,000 in United currency and want to buy this jeep contact me. I have a clean Arizona title. If you want this Jeep, Bring cash. I’ll answer reasonable questions. “1944 Military Jeep. Runs and drives good. New carburetor, new radiator, new fuel pump, new brakes, new battery, transmission/transfer case rebuild. Has the “hurricane” motor from a cj3b, which is basically the same as the original “go devil” with a different head and 30 more hp. It’s wired up for easy flat tow (unhook the battery, hood the 4 plug) to use stock taillights. ”
