Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “I am selling the body to my 1952 cj3a minus the grill. I am restoring my jeep back to show room condition and this body will not work. If you have a project jeep you need parts for or you are building a rock crawler this body might be what you need. The windshield frame, tailgate and hood are still in good condition. The flat fenders need sheet metal work on the mounting bracket locations. The body tub needs work but the firewall, dash and top cowl are in good shape. Its the floor that needs the work. The body panels are reusable depending on your needs. The body parts are all stamped WILLYS as well. I will take $650.00 CASH ONLY. I am keeping the grill and I will not sell individual pieces. That appears to be a Bobcat body, but I can’t tell for sure. This might a good price.
“Late 40’s Willys CJ2 tub and frame. The tub is aftermarket fiberglass and has never been used. The frame is very straight and has been boxed in. There are front fenders, grill, and hood, but no windsheild frame. Has been stoored inside. I also have many other odds and ends that can go such as a turbo 350 with 205 transfer case, brand new 35×12.50 15 wildcat xtx tires on wheels, jeep wagoneer axles, ect”

This is a hand made body advertised as a CJ-2A kit, but looking more like a MB/CJ-3a kit.
“What we have here is a complete body “kit” for a CJ2A or 3A. The tub was hand made by a guy in New Hampshire, THICK sheet metal, all custom welded, VERY solid, the fenders are again hand made in very thick steel, the hood, grille and windshield are all stock parts. All parts have some surface rust from sitting , but NO rot”

(12/03/2011) It’s been modified.
“I built this tub years ago for a rock crawler, and never finished it. Now the tub is sitting in my back yard rusting. It would make a killer rat rod, or finish it as a Jeep.
The entire floor has been replaced with 14 gauge diamond plate, and the rear has been moved up 6″ I have a windshield frame, grill, hood, a set of fenders, and a tail gate to go with it. The fenders are kind of beat, but the rest is great. Asking $500 for all of it, and will not separate! So far it has very minor rust, that’s only on the surface. I don’t have any pix in it’s current state, but can get some if you need them.
I do have all the paper work for a title on this one, so it can be street legal!”

UPDATE: Back in May of 2011 Mike forwarded me the below ad. This morning Craig pointed out that Dan over at Hemmings did a nice article about the stainless bodies along with the seller of these kits.
The buyer apparently bought out a stainless supplier in the Philippines. Call the seller for more info.
UPDATE: **SOLD** $150 … note the piece across the front of the rear wheel wells. I’ve seen similar installs on other jeeps. Unclear if this was an aftermarket piece or not.
