About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

“1947 Jeep CJ2A body and frame (with title). Had a small block chevy in it from previous owner. Complete exhaust from headers back. Has a power steering gear box. Body work has to be finished. Its still a little rough. If your looking for a jeep project this will give you a great start or your needing a frame with a title. $500”
(12/10/2014) This has some updates, including a stepping-block on the sides for entry?
“Pontiac V-6 235, headers, electronic ignition, sm420 4 speed, Dana 25 front with power locker, Dana 44 rear with power locker, 5:38 gears, 92 to 1 gear ratio, differential protectors, warn hubs, spring over, power steering, tilt wheel, high back seats, electric cooling fan, optima battery, 8000 lb. warn winch, roll cage, new gauges, spare tire and jerry cans, high lift jack, co2 tank, CB, bikini top, soft top, 33″ mud tires, chrome mod wheels, tow bar, etc.”
(11/12/2014) Sounds like it might require additional work.
“The new: complete break job, water pump, fuel tank, carburetor, ignition system, 12volt converted, exhaust system. Starts every time. runs strong. Too many projects.”
(02/25/2014) The dogs look in surprisingly good shape. The tires on the trailer aren’t so good. This may include an overdrive, based on the ‘4 levers’ comment.
“1941 WILLYS OVERLAND JEEP AND TRAILER, ORIGINAL 4 LEVER TRANY 283 CHEVY V,8 CAMEL HUMP HEAD. NEED FULLY RESTORATION. $2500 CASH OR PARTIAL TRADE,“
“I have a very nice 48 CJ-3A Willy’s. She sports a sweet small block Chevy engine and power steering. The rest of her remaining drivetrain is still original. The ol’ girl has basically been in storage for over 17 years. I have started and drove her once in while to keep things lubed up. The large tires have great tread but are badly weathered. The body is very straight but has some floor pan rust. The master, wheel calendars and shoes were all replaced last year. A new Best top with doors is included. The seats were entirely rebuilt with new foam and material. This would make a fun weekend toy to play with. I have to many to give her the time deserved so it’s time for her to go to a new home. I have a clean ’48 title that came with it when I bought it but the vin. numbers do not match. I’d really like to get $ 2800 for her but will entertain an reasonably close offer. Please don’t bother me if your not seriously interested. This is an old vehicle that will still need some TLC to become a daily driver.”
This has an “Iron Duke” Buick V6? Looks more like a Buick V6. It has M-38 features, but no battery box lid.
“Selling a 1941 Willys Jeep. It has an Iron Duke V6 Buick engine, chevy truck 4 speed transmission, front and rear lockers, all four locking hubs, upgraded suspension and upgraded steering. Custom bumper with winch and custom tow bar. Very few miles since it has been rebuilt. Please call Scott for a test drive. ”
(07/14/2014) Has some updates. I can’t tell what type of front hubs this has.
“!947 Willy’s Jeep with overhead cam 4 cylinder engine. 15″ chrome wheels with 10 x 15 LT super stag Daytona tires with good tread. Also has a small electric 120 x2 winch on the front. Runs good. This would make a great off-road vehicle or hunting rig.”
