Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Body is rough. Has rear PTO.
“’48 Willy’s Jeep. Runs and drives, has rear PTO unit for farm implements. Needs some body repair, frame appears to be solid. Titled in Maryland. New battery. Engine was rebuilt 25 years ago, then it sat. Great winter project.”

“WOW this 1948 Willys CJ2a will make someone, Maybe you?, a real nice rock crauler, mudder, or just a very cool four wheel drive. It is missing a few pieces. Seats and gauges are missing. It does have a small block chevy in it. I believe to be a 283 or 327. The rest of the drivetrain is stock. The engine is free and turns. But has water in the pan. I am selling it as a project. Or parts only. Has no title. I do have pics that can be text to any interested party. Please feel free to call with any Questions. Negotiable!”

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2500
“1946 Willy’s Jeep 4WD. Kept and used @ hunting camp only. Kept under leantoo for years. Brought home to restore but lost interest. Runs GREAT. I made a list of most items needed to restore, ordered and received. All still in boxes. (wiper blade, wiper motor, turn signal switch and harness, top, etc)
Sent to repair shop and had new master and wheel cylinders installed for breakes, tuned up and new battery.
Jeep needs TLC and a home and I need to recover some of my cost. Have original paperwork.”
