Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1946 Willys Jeep with hard top. CJ2A civilian jeep with 1965 4 cylinder F head. Jeep was a real good runner just have no time or funds to continue the project. When working on it the keeper on the starter bendix broke. Need to replace the starter. Also have a carb that continues to leak. Wanted to also replace the old style points with an electronic ignition. Parts are readily available just ran out of ambition for this project.”

Custom tube chaisse, all new rebuilt Dodge Slant Six 225ci, 727 Chrysler automatic, model 20 straight thru transfer case, Power Steering, custom seats & full soft top. 44 high pinon rear end, Detriot Locker, full floater axels. 30 Front end with Lock rite, 4 Wheel disc brakes, 37 inch IROC radials, 9000lb winch. This is a quality built machine.”

“Great little Jeep that is equally at home off road as it is at a car show. Can be flat towed easily behind an RV. Runs excellent and 4×4 works great. Largely original with only significant modification being an upgrade from 6 volt to 12 volt. All five tires are brand new. Has military rifle holder between seats. Currently registered and insured and street driven. Gets tons of smiles and thumbs up driving around on the street. Has a good Arizona title. Also includes a rear seat that needs to be recovered but I have the matching olive drab canvas needed to do so. Selling to purchase a house. Here are a couple videos driving in low range.”

“1948 CJ2A. 2 inch lift, with 31″ TSL bias ply Swampers. Front disc brakes, power steering, lockers front and rear. Full roll cage, 4 point seat belts up front. Engine rebuilt 2 years ago. Hardened valve seats added. Also rebuilt the transmission and put in new clutch, pressure plate and throw out bearing. Rebuilt front end with new bearings, races, seals, discs, pads, and calipers. Rear end just rebuilt. $7000 or offer.”

“1948 Willys CJ2A for sale as is; does not include front bumper weight. Complete but hasn’t ran since about 2001. Engine doesn’t turn, steering has problems, brakes, clutch, etc. need to be looked at after sitting so long. Price dropped from previous posting. Feel free to make offer.”
