This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. (06/06/2014) When ‘tires hold air’ is a feature, you know you’ve got a project on your hands.
“For Sale 1946 or 1947 Willys Jeep CJ2A Flat fender. Rolls easy, Tires hold air, Radiator, Engine transmission transfer case intact. Skid plate on oil pan and cross member. Original gas tank and sending unit. Possible local delivery”

“Very original column shift, Rebuilt transmission, transfer case, starter,carburetor, bell crank
New brakes all new wheel cylinders master cylinder, shoes all rubber brake hoses and bad steel lines replaced. New seat covers. New glass and outside mirror. New muffler. New clutch and pressure plate. Fresh tune up, new wires, points, cap. New battery and cables. Stainless steel fuel tank. Has all the tags, gusset and 2 firewall numbers are 19769 Engine is 20376 Body 9694 Tailgate 9693″

(05/30/2014) This includes a PTO of some variety.
“46 Willys
Flat head 4
3 speed, hi / low, 2 or 4 wheel drive
has PTO option on it but has never been used.
new points, coil, rotor, condenser…….Great runner, fun driver!
has a temporary remote gas tank, original needs cleaning.
Brakes work but need work
This has been used at our hunting cabin since 1987 but has sat the last few years.
Was turned over by hand to ensure nothing was seized before running again.
Would be a great restoration project or use as is.
DOES have a TITLE and could be street registered

(08/22/2014) Given the hood bump, I suspect this has an updated motor of some type.

“1948 Jeep CJ2A. Very good condition, tub has no rust. Engine has been gone through, runs strong. Trans, transfer case and both rear ends good and serviced. All new brakes, lines, etc. Converted to 12 volt. New gear reduction starter. New water pump. All wiring redone. Even the origional horn button works. Full canvas. Rear seat but needs upholstery. As you can see probably needs a paint job. Two sets of tires, one origional army tread the other are town & country tread.”
