Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. (05/20/2014) It’s a project.
“1948 CJ-2a Willy’s Jeep was completely disassembled and started the rebuild. it has a Dauntless 225 Oddfire engine (fresh rebuilt) frame, springs, axles, engine, transmission, driveshafts, transfer case is all installed. now at the point of hooking up wiring to engine, bolting on body, hooking up steering. still needs some body work, replace bolts, clean fuel tank, add all lights and accessories, etc. I have a clean title in hand. minor rust for it’s age. this will make someone a great vehicle with a little bit of work. $1700 OBO call or Text for more info.”

“I have an unrestored CJ-2A Willy’s Jeep for sale. It is about 95% original, not cut up or modified. Body is quite restorable, with some rust out in the floors, body is reasonably straight, especially the rear end body corners. Has all of the original gauges, engine free and complete. Bought a few years ago at an estate sale, but I am now into restoring my 1942 GPW Ford, and that is where my efforts are going on jeeps. This is an extra but well worth restoring. I bill provide a “Notorized Bill of Sale”, no title is available”

This jeep has a hybrid CJ-5/CJ-2A body. That’s one of the best blended bodies I’ve seen.
“This willys is super clean and loaded. It has a 302 v8 engine,edelbrock intake and carb with off-road kit, msd ignition. auto tranny,electric tranny cooler fan, low miles, two gas tanks plus two jerry cans, dana 18 tc. Warn 8274 winch, newer 33″ swampers. All Gages and radio works. Has a heater. Tow bar. New battery. Lockers front and rear. Bikini top. Runs great! I drive it almost every day.
