Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. The engine is wrapped up in the black plastic to keep water out. Do not know condition. Was pulled when I bought it. Body could probably be salvaged. No front fenders or windshield frame. Nice set of wheels. rear axle that came with it is from a CJ5. Both seat frames are there.”

(06/04/2014) The front bumper seems to be hanging a little low.

(02/12/2014) Not sure just how much value is here.
“I bought a 46 willys and wanted to turn it into a rat rod but I am also a college student and the financials I needed weren’t coming along so time to part with it. It has front and rear original Dana axles with tires. I already grinded off the bolts because I was going to do a frame off restoration and that’s about as far as I got. The axles alone are worth 400 but I can’t do anything with it so first come first serve. Would make a great project for someone.”

This is a mix of 2A and MB parts.
“1948 Willys CJ2A. It was being done up to model a WWII Willys MB. It has a rebuilt T90 transmission and CJ2A engine but the tub is a MB tub. The tires are M151 tires. The motor is in great condition. The jeep did run and drive but the starter recently burned out. Has a brand new canvas top and original WWII MB grille . I was trying to convert this over to look like the WWII MB.

“1948 Willys Jeep CJ2A with a rebuilt 1955 Chev V-8 engine, bored .030, only 5 miles on rebuild, also a one piece seat, electric fan and fuel pump, plus one wire alternator, winch on front, 20 gallon fuel tank, steel cab and dual wheel adapters, dual exhaust, heavy duty springs, 7:50-16 six ply tires, a steel plate protects the bottom for rough going.
I have owned it for 50 years but bad health now forces me to sell. It is in storage right now.
