Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Runs and drives. It doesn’t stop so well.
“1947 WILLYS CJ2A – driveable, 6V original drive train, rims, tub, fenders, tailgate, front seat frams, 4 cylinder 134 L 60 HP engine, and 3 speed T90 transmission , 4WD. New 6V battery, fuel pump, starter solenoid, and rebuilt starter. Brakes not working!”

The Pinto motor runs.

(06/02/2014) Someone converted this to right-hand drive.
“1947 jeep Willys cj2a. Was completely taken apart and painted top to bottom years ago Needs finishing. it has a Isuzu 4 cylinder diesel with 64K. Stick shift 4×4. Has the Isuzu trans and t case. rear axle is a Dana 44, front axle is suzuki samurai axle. converted to right hand drive. body has poor body work and not a great paint job but it’s not a show jeep. Needs radiator, wiring, pedals finished, windshield rear drive shaft finished. Have title in my name”

It needs a few things.
“I’m selling my 1947 Willy’s Jeep that is dressed up like an Army Jeep. This thing looks cool! I bought it from a guy last fall with the intention of using it for advertising, but I have to many cars again. The previous owner said that he pulled everything apart and rebuilt the engine, tranny, t-case, axles, and the body, then put her all back together and painted her army green. I added the stars and US markings just to dress it up a little. It needs the brakes serviced and bled, some seat covers, and a windshield. Personally, I would sell the M38 windshield frame and buy an old split windshield frame instead, but you can decide what you would like to do. As always, I am interested in trades. I love guns and military stuff, but am open to anything. I like old sports cars and muscle cars too. ”

The floors have been patched any rhino lined.

Inside sprayed with rhino liner color matched to outside color. The bottom of the sides are also sprayed with the rhino liner

Ready for summer fun. Tow bar means you don’t need a trailer to haul this around, 2 inch ball and your ready to take it to the woods for fun. Clean Florida title in hand.”
