About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“Willys CJ2A restoration project. All original running gear installed in rolling chassis, body is complete with the exception of a tailgate, original seat frames with aftermarket rear seat.No wiring, fuel tank or brake lines. Consider trades for tractor implements, rock saw, guns or ??
“Small block Chevy. Short ratio shift. Headers. 4 barrel carb. hydrolic clutch. 4 wheel drive New seats. This jeep is crazy fast and about half dangerous, will only sell to a mature adult. NO KIDS.”

“For sale: 1940’s jeep willys parts I have the complete jeep just let me know what you need and I will let you know. I have a complete rolling chassis with motor that runs. all of the body work is shot the grill may be salvageable but that’s it. I have two front fenders that are extra that are in good condition. the jeep also has a homemade plow on the front. the plow itself is not homemade but the mount and the lift are. the lift is a manual hydraulic lift that you pump by hand between the seats. I tried it and it works. I did put a new 12 volt coil on it and a distributor cap and it started up. the carb needs tuned to run correctly but it will run and you can hear it if you want. I was going to use it as a woods beater with out the body but I do not have the time to mess with it. I will sell individual parts or whole but i have no title. I m asking $500.00 for all or we can discuss price on the parts you need. please no low ball offers for the whole thing I can take it to the scrap yard for not much less than what im asking. call: four12-five82-two318”
The windshield looks like a nicely modified cj-2a windshield to me.
“Fiberglass bodied CJ2A, needs a grill, rollbar, and steering column. Comes with stronger spare 3B frame, 4.3 liter chevy V6, adapter bell housing, T90 transmission and Spicer D18 transfer case. Has custom stainless steel filler necks on both sides of Jeep. Includes wiring harness. $1000 OBO, call to see, (559) 760-1946”
Check out the two large additions to the front bumper. Any thoughts on what they were built to do? (Push, Haul, Hunting Seat?)
“1946 Willys Jeep CJ2-A. Clean TX title, new antique lic. plate, starts right up and runs and drives great. Recent charcoal paint, good black vinyl seats. Converted to 12 volt alt. Good tires with aluminum wheels. Front tow bar included. The fold down windshield is missing. (Available at JC Whitney for about $500. ) We enjoy putting around the lake without it. Radio is no good and the emergency brake is gone, though I’ve never missed it. This is a really fun and eye-catching 67 year old toy. Very little wiggle room on this price and cash only! Tankx for your interest.”
The engine rebuild. It might be worth a look, but from the outside the body looks patched (rather than repaired).
“CJ-2 in excellent running condition. Flathead 4 was totally rebuilt with all new internals, (crank, rods, pistons, rings, cam, bearings, valves, etc…). The engine only has a little over 5 hours since built and purrs like a kitten! The clutch is also new and the transmission has hi-low in both 2 and 4WD. The body was repaired with all new metal by the previous owner but needs finishing to look nice. It needs a brake line or brake cylinder as the pedal went to the floor last fall and I have physically been unable to get to it. I am looking to sell or trade for a full-size bus or a motorhome.
Sorry but these are the only pics that I currently have.”
It runs and drives, but the body has a few issues.
“1947 Willys Jeep Runs and drives great. Very minor rust by rear tail light and one small patch on passengers floor. Seat are in good shape. Four wheel drive works perfect. Fuel gauge does not work. Original 4 cylinder motor starts easily and runs smooth.”
The tub is supposed to be brand new. Not sure what’s in the back of it.
“I have a rolling chassis Willys cj2a. The tub is brand new with all of the right markings and stamps. I have a 4 cyl engine a transmission and two transfer cases. I also have numerous other random parts that are included in the price. I even have an actual pink slip weather you could get it to work with the new tub I don’t know”
“This is a one of a kind 1948 Willys CJ2A Jeep that has undergone a true frame-off restoration. The engine, tranny, transfer case and axles have all been rebuilt, sandblasted and painted. The brakes, suspension, steering, exhaust, fuel, seats ,wiring, light, weatherstrips and many other parts are brand new. Over a year was spent finding original Parts for this Willys. Every part is either new or rebuilt. This Jeep has highly detailed and the pride of building it really shows. Runs smooth and it is a blast to drive! There has only been 36 Miles put on the Jeep since built.”
