“I have a 1946 Willys Jeep project in need an enthusiast willing to put the time and money into building a great little toy. It includes a rolling chassis with new frame and leaf springs, original front and rear axles, (5.38/1 gears), transmission, transfer case, and drive shafts. Front axle is completely rebuilt with new ring and pinion, bearings, seals, wheel cylinders and brake hoses. Steering box is rebuilt and has all new steering linkage. All new aftermarket replacement body parts still in primer include tub, fenders, grill, hood, floor pan, and windshield frame. Original motor is missing, but I do have a replacement flathead 4 in unknown condition. Many extras include a box of small parts, (gauges, electrical, etc), roll bar, 2 extra trans/t-case, extra front axle, seat frame, and new gas tank. Best part is it has a clear title and original VIN tag. $3500 takes it all. 7one5-6two7-211eight. ask for Paul”

(05/20/2014) The pics are blurry, but the jeep looks good.

It’s a militarized CJ-2A that appears ready for a parade. I believe the Jasper engine is from Jaspers Engines and Transmissions in Indiana.
“1946 CJ2A Jeep. Priced to sell. $8900.00. Finished in military. Good running condition. Good parade vehicle. Jasper engine.”

(05/09/2014) Two interesting things about this CJ-2A caught my eye:
1) This has the hood gutter attached to the hood hinge under the hood.
2) The front bumper connects like a 3A rather than a 2A.
I’m wondering if this is a very late 1948 CJ-2A or a rare 1949 CJ-2A. The serial number might be worth a look on this one. According to an old post by Bill Norris, the gutter was standard on CJ-2As after 193800. After #215649 the bumper was changed to a CJ-3A design (if I am interpreting this page correctly).
“This is a 1949 Willy’s Jeep. The body is in great shape, straight with no major rust. The paint is faded in many places. The jeep runs well with the original flat 4 engine. The electrical system has been upgraded to a twelve volt system. An under dash heater and electric windsheild wiper have been installed. Please call/text/email for more information.”
It doesn’t run at the moment.
“V8 small block, new paint, new wheels and tires, new holly off road carb, new wiring, new hubs, no rust, cb with speaker, hand throttle, LED rock lights, HID head lights. led tail lights. I have a new aluminum radiator and shroud that need to be installed. super clean jeep 3133998″
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2200.
(03/31/2014) This has a combat rim. It still needs some work.
“I pulled this CJ out of the bushes 2 winters ago and brought her back to life. The L-head 4 cylinder purrs and all running gear works. Everything is original except for the S10 bench seat and Wrangler bikini top. New parts: alternator, battery, brake shoes, one new hub, new master cylinder and all new slave cylinders and new brake lines, tires good with all new inner tubes, new window glass. There is no rust anywhere. Years ago someone cut rust out of the passenger side of tub and riveted in some steel. I stayed with that style on the driver side (ratjeep style). Original color was green then repainted brown and now has a nice green/brown patina finish. A great rig to cruise around the lake or your big back yard or in town. What doesn’t work? The only gauge that works is the ammeter. I pulled the top off the transmission and it is solid, but the syncro’s don’t work (double clutcher). The engine smokes at start up but the compression is perfect. I assume the valve guides are worn. Leave this little Willys as is or great resto project.”
UPDATE: Was For Trade. **SOLD**
Lots of mods.
“This is my toy. It is a 1946 willys cj2a. we re built the jeep frame up last winter and recently put willys jeep truck axles under it. it goes every where I ask it to. It has brand new brakes front and rear brand new brake lines and hoses. It has the original 134 flathead 4cyl in it, plenty atrong and doesn’t leak a drop. Along with the t-90 tranny an dana 18 twin stick transfer case. All lights work on the jeep, and brand new 1/2 in lift shackles. It also has a 1 1/2 in body lift on it as we’ll. The rear axle is a dana 53 and the front is a dana 25. 5:38 gears in axles. The tires are 31×13.5-r15 super swamper sx, with white spokes. The rear axle is also welded and open in the front. Has a flowmaster on it and it sounds good. Everything works on the jeep and out performs most jeeps this age. Paint was put on few weeks back. Needs a master cylinder (50 bucks) so brakes are spongy. We’ll taken care of and did not have a rough life. Fourwheeled, but not hard. Only trading it cuz I want to go bigger. Has brand new starter, alternator and brand new gas tank and fuel pump. Runs like a top. Lookin to trade for a cj5 or cj7 or a wrangler. Anything lifted an built for wheeling. Let me know what you have. Thanks. Trade only.”
