“Hi my name is jeff. I have a 1946 willy’s jeep. It is a CJ2A flathead Four cyliner. original motor and trasmission. Asking 7000 Obo”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $6800.
Lots of changes to the CJ-2A. “First things first….my price is NON-negotiable and I am NOT interested in time shares, trades, payment plans, body parts, IOU’s, etc! You are viewing a one of a kind Jeep, whose life began 66 years ago. Recently it received a facelift. Now it is powered by a 1977 V8 304 and sits on a shortened 1977 chassis. Comes with a 4 speed manual and runs like a dream. Also has tilt wheel sporting the Willy’s steering wheel. The stereo sits in a 1947 Army communications bag between the front seats. Also sports power steering which is VERY nice. New SS dual exhaust is remarkably quiet. Running the old style military gauges as well, and all work fine. I have a clear TN title which reflects this as a 1947 Jeep. Although seatbelts were not even thought of in 1947 and therefore not required on this vehicle by law, they have been added for safety sake. 4WD works splendid. Beetle Bailey graphics were added last year and can easily be removed if you buy it and don’t want them. Tires are almost new. Be prepared for plenty of thumbs up and people taking pics with their I-phones. If you don’t like attention, this is NOT the vehicle for you. Does not have turn signals, windshield wipers or a top. Though they could be added, this is more of a seasonal classic that is loads of fun. Pricing it cheap because this is not the optimal time of the year to sell a topless vehicle. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3800
It looks like the front grille was moved forward to accommodate a Hurricane 6.
“I bought this Jeep 2 months ago, since owning it I have had the radiator rebuilt and replaced points, condensor, plugs. I replaced wiring to the ignition, horn, coil, and voltage regulator. Everything is stock except the original 4 cylinder motor has been replaced with a Willys Super Hurricane 6 cylinder (late 50’s to early 60’s) which is runs good, no leaks or smoke. Interior is in fair condition, the front and rear seats have been re-upholstered. This Jeep starts up and runs fine. I’m only selling because I have a 1964 jeep and don’t need two projects right now. $3800 obo no trades and I do not need help selling this Jeep!! ”
How about that unusual windscreen?
“1946 or newer Jeep WILLYS. I don’t know the exact year. It has new tires which are supposed to be for Jeeps of the genre. The generator was rebuilt a while back. This is in great shape and has a lot of potential. It is a collectors item. I do not have the time to finish it out so am selling it to someone that can appreciate it. I am asking $3,000 but reasonable offer will be refused. Please call and leave a message. I will return all phone calls. Call Two-Five-Four 979-5814.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $5500.
No obvious signs of rust.
“The Jeep has been worked on and runs and drives well. Four wheel drive, 4 cylinder Jeep. It does need a little work, the fuel gauge needs to be replaced. A little rust on the body. The Jeep really only needs a little TLC.”
No pics provided.
“needs restoration. Original L-134 flathead motor and all other running gear, $950 without vin. OBO.”
