This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. This runs and drives. There’s some value here.
“As you can see from the pictures this a 1948 Willys CJ2a. It is in need for a total restoration even though I have used it “as is” for 7 yrs. running it around the Chino airport.
The jeep starts right up every time.
It has been converted to 12 VOLT, thus the charging system works very well.
Has a heater not hooked up, people tell me they are rare?
Shift into all gears, grinds if you go to fast.
The brakes are stiff (not strong), it may just be the linkage or pads, not sure but they should be redone.
The steering is hard to turn? In the pictures you can see it comes with the 3 tie rod ends and the steering link end so that you can renew the steering arms. The shafts probably need grease and or rebuild?
Tires are old, cracked, and warn but they almost never need air.
The body has rust in the corners and some places on the floor have been replaced but seems to be attached well and strong.
Windows have cracks, body has dents
Comes with two pneumatic wiper motors that I was told were NOS.
There are many parts in the pictures that go with the Jeep.”

(09/05/2013) This might be a rare CJ-2L, which is a CJ-2A that was stretched by someone in California. Examples of CJ-2Ls. Learn more about the CJ-2L here.

Have the windshield , full rag top and doors but haven’t been on in some years. Owned this Willys for 13 years and it’s a fun desert and mountain toy! “Bought it 2 years ago and have been restoring it slowly. I have the vin plates that go under the hood, it has new headlights, all new wires, new hood latches, new carburetor, new coil, new distributor, voltage regulator, new sparkplug wires, radiator, fuel pump, complete new exhaust system, rebuilt starter, rebuilt transmission, complete new brake system except for the drums, new emergency brake, shock absorber, new tires, new u joints, steering wheel, all new gauges, new gas tank, seat belts, recovered seats, new choke and throttle cables, new rear bumper, tail lights, new turn signal light switch, and dimmer switch, also have a new glass for the windshield and weather seals with new windshield hardware. I still have the old carburetor, just needs to be cleaned good. I have the inner frame to the windshield installed. Runs fine, all cylinders have great compression.”
