“This is a 1948 Willys Jeep with a collectors engine, a 1955 Chev 265CI V-8 that has been totally rebuilt and bored .030. It has 750-16 six ply tires, a 20 gallon fuel tank and a one piece front seat, it has a winch on the front and there are dual wheel adapters for the back. A big sheet of metal protects the bottom for rough going.
After the rebuild project I drove it about 5 miles, then a heart attack plus crohns disease made me park it in the shed and I haven’t been able to use it, so somebody else should. I have pictures but so far I haven’t been able to load them into this ad, anybody interested can let me know via email if they would like to see them.”
UPDATE: **SOLD**. Was listed at $2500. Now listed in Boise.
(10/04/2013) Two of the photos are old, but it sure looks like a nice jeep. I’ve never seen those Buick valve covers. This jeep is only 2 hours away from me. If I had a box of money, I’d grab this one.
“1948 Jeep CJ2A

Warn 6000 lb winch, 32×9.50 15 Super Swamper TSLs with less than 1000 miles, Power steering with Caddy tilt and telescoping steering column.

It isn’t 100% stock, as the bow holders, the original lights, the original windshield, the original parking lights, and fenders have been changed/modified. The gauges look like they have been updated, and the dash has changed a bit. That said, it looks like a fair price if the body is as solid as advertised.
“1947 Willys CJ-2A Jeep
VERY ORIGINAL!
Tub, Drivetrain and Frame are original, and unmolested.
Has factory running boards, heater, PTO and Utility Bumper Hitch.
Starts, runs drives and stops, I use it all the time until the snow flies around town.
Can run it just as it is, or would be an excellent full restoration project.
Front seats in great shape, has a Besttop top with doors that is 2 years old.
Stored in garage always. Tub is solid, floors are original and solid, as is tool compartment under passenger seat. Has new non-directional tires including spare. Has 12 volt charging system, with electric fuel pump.
Call 845-382-1827 for details.”

“Selling my 1949 Willy’s Jeep. Original 4cyl engine runs great, transmission and transfer case all good. I bought it a couple years ago to fix up, but have too many other car projects and don’t have enough time. It should be a fairly easy one to road/trail ready. It looks like someone was going to lift the body off the chassis, so needs wiring spliced back together, brake line reconnected, rear drive shaft re-installed and a few minor other things to make it roadworthy. It does drive, now, with only the front drive shaft connected. No title, will sell with bill of sale. Serious offers considered, cash only.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $5500.
“You won’t find another one like it!
So many extras:
Original Hardtop
Chains
Wench
Rear PTO
New 6v battery
Lots of extra parts
Runs great, needs brake work on main cylinder
$6500 obo
Posting from my phone, unable to post photos please reply if interested.”
UPDATE: Still Available
(09/03/2013) It looks solid, but the drain holes have been filled and its missing the parking brake.
“1946 cj2a VIN 54883.
It is time to liquidate some assets so my wife of almost 50 years can take a trip back to her native Korea Possibly for the last time. So I thought it would be fitting that ” The other woman ” name of the jeep .. should be the asset to liquidate. She ( the jeep ) is located in West Michigan, and can be delivered by me..on a trailer for a fee. As we all know …there is MUCH more invested in Resto/Mod than we will ever re coupe… but the ability to work on this old girl was well worth it. She spent 2 winters in a Chrysler/Jeep dealership show room. and in covered storage to date ( started up on a monthly basis ) You will note this baby has two option not seen very often.. Dual wheels AND extended cargo area ( Both options offered for farm use in the late 1940s ) see pictures here. https://skydrive.live.com/?cid=CC846636913B7D9D&id=CC846636913B7D9D%21426
