About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“I have 48 CJ-2A for sale. Original motor, and drivetrain. The body was swapped for a military body at some point, a box was also welded to the rear for more room. This is a huge project, I always wanted to do it but have moved and need to sell. The VIN plate has long been lost so a bonded title would need to be obtained once the vehicle was brought back to running.”
“1946 Willys Jeep cj-2a. Nice Jeep just sitting in my garage collecting dust. Painted Chevrolet medium green about 10 years ago. Seats out of a Toyota celica custom fitted at the same time. Roll bar purchased then too. Custom bumpers, after market gauges in the dash, Buick v-6 rebuilt 10 years ago also. New leaf springs, nice wheels and good tires. Twin fuel tanks. Runs well. New master cylinder was installed a couple of years ago and never got fully bled. $6000.00 or possible trade. boats, bikes, hotrods, trucks??? what do you have?”
(09/07/2013) This great looking 2A is almost early enough to be a VEC.
“Selling a 1946 Willys CJ2A (serial # 34587)-
This is an all original, numbers matching jeep. It was a barn find, purchased by my father in 2005, from Eastern Washington. He has completed a full frame-off restoration on this project. It is his third completed project (has restored a CJ3B & M38A1 as well) and he is looking to sell in order to free up space for another build. Jeep’s restoration was completed over 4 years. All receipts were keep and total over 9k. Included in the sale is a photo album of original owner with jeep’s history, and photos of the restoration process.
Full frame-off restoration:
6-volt converted to 12-volt system (original 6-volt parts included).
Original L-Head 4cyl, complete overhaul (block resurfaced, valves, pistons, timing chain, etc) w/ papers.
Column shift 3 speed, with Warn Overdrive (tranny & clutch were rebuilt, w/ papers).

New paint (body, wheels, head, & frame). Up until serial number 38221, the CJ-2A only came in two colors–Pasture Green and Harvest Tan. Painted to match Pasture Green….
I am probably missing some details of this restoration. Please email me with any questions and I’ll be happy to try an answer or will direct you to my father for further information.
This CJ2A needs nothing, is complete, and was restored to be an accurate representation of the era. All parts that were “up-graded” were done to improve reliability and drive-ability of this project. All original parts will be included with the sale. Jeep has 66k original miles, 1,100 since restoration. Has original number plates & badges. Also comes with original tool kit & manual”
