Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1947 cj2a willys jeep. jeep runs fair. mostly original. new water pump, fuel pump, head gasket, radiator cleaned out. a small hide away box was built in the back. this jeep run good. great for hunting or putting around the farm. comes with a landcruiser roll cage that needs a little cutting and welding to fit. asking $3500 O.B.O”

“I have a 1948 Jeep Willys runs doesn’t drive. I bought this for a project but I do not have the time to fix it. It has what I believe is a Dauntless 225 V-6. Installed by a previous owner. I really don’t know much more than that. the block casting is 991503.”

(08/23/2014) This looks nice. I thought I’d seen this earlier, but couldn’t find it.
“I have too many toys. This one has to go. 327 chevy, SM421 4 Speed Trans, Dana 25 Front, Dana 44 Rear, New 4.88 Gears in both by Fearless Gear (rebuilt front). New 33″ BFG Mud Terrain Tires. New Paint. All Gauges Work. Rhino Lined Firewall, Interior, Fenders. New Rims. The bottom looks as good as the top. Asking $9,000 or best offer. Will entertain trades of equal value.”

Fiberglass Tub. Two different sets of rims.
“”Jump like a Willy’s in Four Wheel Drive”- This ’46 is ready to play with. Tore down to the frame in ’94, rebuilt everything over time, fiberglass tub, 4 wheel “Lever-Lock” parking brake, clutch safety switch ( both devices added when our kids were younger..). Warn winch needs new brushes, stereo could be better but the outdoor speakers crank. Best-Top in good shape. $6500 / OBRO

“I have a 46 willys cj2a project that I lost interest in I started a frame off restoration so its down to the frame I have 2 tubs 2 sets of fenders 2 windsheild frames one is very nice other not so much running 4cyl 3spd shifts nice transfer case works well things it will need are seats wiring harness new brake and fuel lines and a gas tank and I have a clear title and from what I was told this was a one owner I labled everything when it was disassembled I would trade for a cj5 or 7 or 4cyl yj or a v8 s10 or 2500 cash I have pics but would perfer you come look at it will not respond to email call or text 24o 674 913three if local I can assest in delivery”

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $4750.
“Original survivor. 98% rust free. So California Jeep. Excellent candidate for restoration. 95% of original parts still intact. 6 volts. This Jeep still runs and drives. Used as a parade Jeep for last 10 years. Clean California Title Nellybelle #3 or urban Myth? When I purchased this Jeep, the owner said it was bought from the movie studios in 1975. There were supposed to be 3 Nellybelle’s: A close up Jeep; a Stunt Jeep and a Long Distance Jeep. This was said to be the Long Distance Jeep. I have never been able to verify this. There is an engine noise that seems to be coming from harmonic balancer pulley area (not internal engine). Dualamatic overdrive has bad gear noise. Small channel on passenger side rusted out. 15” wheels.”

It runs and has a PTO winch. Looks like a good price.
