Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “All original with the exception of the top, rear gas can holder etc… I added alot of extras to make it appear to be a WWII MB. It has 23671 miles on it. It has warn lock out front hubs, a warn overdrive, a period correct heater. It has been coverted to 12 volt. There is no rust anywhere except a little in the tool box. All five tires are brand new Firestone 7.00×16 NDCC. There is also a trailer to haul the jeep, it has surge brakes and ramps. Email me for more info. This is a real nice jeep so please don’t try to low ball me you’ll be hard pressed to find another like this.”

(02/15/2013) Walter forwarded this CJ-2A. The seller says he has the arctic top, but it isn’t attached. I’m wondering if the pics are prior to the work that was done. It doesn’t have a title.
“I have a early 40s Willys Jeep, 4 cylinder runs good, looks to be rebuilt before I got it, 4 wheel works, body rusty but pretty solid, has anew gas tank, I think its a M38 Military type. All have been rewired and work. Also have the Artic Hard Top with it but its not attached. I have not driven it on the road but have driven it in the woods and it done well,”

(05/18/2013) “Up for sale is a 1946 Willys CJ2A. It has approx. 28,000 original miles. This truck is in very good condition considering its age. The truck runs great, get in turn the key and start it up. All of the gauges work, lights work, horn works. This truck would make a great restoration candidate, just needs a little TLC.”

“I drive this jeep on weekend, top speed 50mph, high and low transfer case, 4×4, it all works, 4cyl, needs restoration or fun to drive around in the mountains or on a ranch, this thing will climb anything.”

“Willys jeep with freshly rebuilt motor. Locker rear axle, soft top, pretty clean and body straight. Over drive, low gears, power steering, winch, 33 Inch tires with spare and chrome rims, needs the head gasket replaced because the machine shop gave me the wrong one. I just need to pick it up and put it on.”

Runs and drives.
“This is a 46 Willys CJ 2A. It runs and drives. 4 cyl motor was rebuilt a few years ago. New fuel tank. New radiator. Usual tranny issue with these trannys is third gear only works sometimes. These trannys area a dime a dozen. T-case works as does the 4X4. Runs great. Converted to 12 V. Water temp, oil pressure,fuel gauge and speedometer work. Full rollbar and bikini top. Seats are a little rough looking but they are comfortable. Rear seat is a fold and tumble seat. Has seat belts. Body is in decent shape for a 1946. No major rust that cant be fixed or leave it alone and drive it. Ready to take deer hunting. Why buy a Rhino when you can buy this for. 1/3 of the price. The tow bar is working an ready to tow. Have title. Currently non- oped. Come take a look and drive it. $2,700OBO. Located in Loomis”
