About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
(08/28/2022) This might have a DJ-3A or a replacement body. The looks to be a V-6.
“I don’t have many details about the motor and trans, it is not running, but all parts you need are there, transmission and transfer case are installed in the jeep, I would have both rebuilt. It’s not a rust bucket and can be restored”
“This is truly a fantastic full body off restoration using most original parts. Very nicely done CJ-2 with good metal all around, in great running condition. Starts easily, strong original 4 cylinder engine, shifts nicely through the gears and the transfer case with lock out hubs is sound. It also has a nice top and sport bar. Not an original color, but attractively finished in a light metallic teal green with good seat upholstery. All glass and rubbers are excellent with 5 brand new tires and 5 clean, bright wheels. This is a turn key vehicle. The only things that need a bit (and I do mean just a bit)of attention are the gas gauge and the carburetor as it leaks a little. Everything else – wipers, lights, speedometer, etc. work fine. No signs of rust, rot or prior collision damage. Bargain priced for quick sale at $12000 or best offer FOB Broken Arrow, Okla.”
” ****NO TITLE!! BILL OF SALE ONLY!! Mileage listed is not accurate!!! Come see at Bobby Johnson Equipment Co., Inc. 700 Hwy 1 Oil City, LA 71061 Mon-Fri 7am-5pm”
This is an interesting creature. Anyone recognize the chassis? The body looks lengthened, or is custom, or is some type of replacement body (prob out of the Philippines if a replacement).
Listed as a 1948 CJ-2A, this looks to be more likely a CJ-3A due to the transmission crossmember mount and the lack of holes for the 2A ignition switch.
Cj2a frame and running gear No shafts in front axle 44 rear Trans and tcase will be pulled before sale Mb body that is very rough and no longer mb. Tool boxes and shovel/axe mount are welded over, dash is cut to hell Front fenders have been widened Lots of bondo M38 cold weather top (aluminum) One tire is good, one holds air for a week , two fronts are shot. If it’s posted it’s available! No you can not buy just the top No I will not sell just the grill I’m totally happy with this being yard art so low ball offers will be ignored. I know it’s rough, but I don’t care, if you want to look at it pm me and we can set up a time. Stupid questions will be ignored.”
“Recent rubber, new battery, spare tire, 12-volt conversion, draw bar, back seat, two heaters, title, runs, drives and stops.
FWD & low range engage as they should. Time for it to go to a new home as not enough time to bring it to the next level.”
“1951 Jeep CJ-2A VIN: 451GB122992 Clean Title Flat Head-4, 3 Speed Runs, shifts, 4×4 also New brake lines installed. Frame only shows surface rust. All new wheel cylinders & brake pads replaced except rear driver side (for the life of me couldn’t get the drum off), all new preformed brake lines, rebuilt master cylinder, rebuilt carb, all fluids replaced including differentials, new hub bearings, headlights high and low, but no turn signals or brake lights. I put new taillights on as well but they have to be wired up, as well as a new turn signal stalk that’ll have to be wired up. Cleaned out and repainted the fuel tank, also installed a tach.”
