About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
(06/22/2011) This looks solid, though the engine doesn’t run.
“This is a 1946 Willys Jeep with a rust free frame and decent body to restore or use for fun. 4 cylynder flathead motor does not run. Has BF Goodrich tires All Terain with 99.9 % tread left. Will consider trades ? $1500 Call Mike at 614-783-five five nine seven”
“Listing for my wifes grandfather. He restored over the last 2 years. has new tires. engine and transmission ran good so they were not rebuilt. If you have questions I can get you his number and you can talk to him directly.”
This has some unusual patches on the back of the body. I assume they are hiding damage or other holes.
“This vehicle has been mechanically rebuilt.( Engine – Transfercase – Brakes – Electrical.) The electrical system is 12 volt. Has oversize knobby tires and an 8,000 # Ramsey PTO winch with approx 75 foot of cable. Hardware for doors and top are included in addition to a towbar. Last state registration expired in 2009, can be driven on or off road. Excellant candidate for beach, farm or hunting lease. Engine is the original L-134 flat head 4 cylinder. 3 speed T190 transmission. Hi and low range transfercase.”
“I have a 1948 Willys CJ2A that is in project form. 4 cyl flathead, 3 spd, twin stick Dana 18, 5:38 gears, PTO winch. Spare motor, tranny, and transfer case. Asking $1200 obro. Hate to let it go. Call with questions. 207…890…9157.”
(04/12/2011) This looks in good condition. It even comes with a horse sticker on the side. I can’t tell if this is a VEC or not. Even for Oahu, the mileage seems low.
“All original, all working, runs great. winch pull included. Need to sell ASAP: offers accepted.
Mileage: 3660
Trans: 3 speed 4WD and overdrive option
Engine: F4-134”
“1947 Willys Jeep cj2a in excellent condition. This also has a black vinyl top that goes with it. Everything works well, a really fun vehicle to mess around with! $7,295”
“I have a 1946 cj2a body and frame, most of body is in bad shape no tailgate. frame wheels tires axles are good tho. Parts only – no paper work or vin numbers. dash and fire wall can be used. can deliver locally. used to have a ford 302 in it. NO ENGINE NO PAPERS. what you see minus engine is what you get. change email subject title so i don’t delete it.”
“This Jeep is in almost original condition. It was on a farm in Nebraska since new in 1947 until 2003. We are the third owner. It has the original engine, expertly rebuilt, and all parts, including a rare “power take off” (PTO) on the rear which still works well. Original paint scheme of Americar Black with Harvard Red Wheels. I added the new soft top, and had the original 6 volt system converted to 12 volt for better starting and running. It has the new 12 v system, rebuilt clutch, new generator, new carburetor, new fuel pump, new 12 v battery, new tires, new trailer hitch and 4-pin wiring, and used rear seat. Runs well–the engine and transmission are very strong, and it will “climb a tree.” Minimal rust–when the body is repainted, it will be outstanding”
“1947 Willys CJ-2A for sale. This jeep is 95% original with an original L134 Hurricane motor. It has a solid frame with all new gas tank, fuel lines, fuel pump and filter, brakes, brake lines, spark plugs, and tires. Electrical has been converted from 6-volt to 12-volt. The body needs some work. It runs great but there is a bad throw out bearing in the clutch which causes the clutch to squeal. This would be the perfect vehicle for a jeep lover or someone who likes to restore vehicles to their original condition. $3000 is firm.”
