Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. The price looks good. The pics are very small.
“I have 2 Willy’s jeep’s for sale. One is a ’42 which does not run but can be used for parts or as a project. It has all the running gear, front and rear axle, tranny and t-case, both drive lines, i do not have title for this jeep. The other jeep is a ’46 this jeep run’s i converted it to the 12 volt system with a new alternator, battery, coil, and resistor. It has new plugs, and wires, new clutch, throw out bearing, pilot bearing, pressure plate and re-surfaced fly wheel. It also has a new steel fuel tank and tie down strap, new 12 volt headlights, wiring, ignition switch and headlight switch. Jeep starts right away, you can jump in and take it for a cruise. 4 wheel drive works great, really low geared if you know these jeep’s. it does need seats. I have seat frame’s but they need cushion’s. I’m asking $1000.00 obo. Contact me on email or @ 795-2393. I will be posting pic’s of the running jeep soon.”

This looks like a clean build. The front springs are reversed. The rears might be outboarded, but I can’t tell for sure.

“Selling a 1948 Willys Jeep CJ2A. This Jeep has been partially restored but still needs some wiring done, a windshield replaced, fuel tank cleaned and repaired, tires, and misc. The engine was running recently but has been sitting. It will turn over. I have not tried to start it. Most of the parts are there. The brakes are not working and may just need fluid. The origional wiring is still in place for the most part. The front floor is made from fiberglass and is strong and has been covered with carpet. There are some rust spots in a couple places but the frame appears to be solid. This vehicle was made 65 years ago and I can,t guarantee that all the parts are in perfect condition. I’m selling The Jeep “as is” with no promises. The running gear seems to be in good condition and rolls freely. It’s a good start on a nice little vintage 4X4 Jeep that could make your summer or winter much more fun. ”

“I just bought another project and id like someone else to enjoys one a farm fresh Willy’s a very early willys civilian i had a of stuff powder coated including the frame both axles steering components drive shafts ive had the engine taken down and blasted the crank and camshasft have been re ground but the block needs to be bored. 030 and a rusted spark plug is stuck in the head but no warpage approx 1800 to have someone put it back together for you. Body is just laying on top of the fresh frame i have soo much money in this project id like it to go to a great home i have the new metal for the flooring. Approx 4k to get it to great running condition. Clean title.”
