Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “This jeep runs really good. Freshly overhauled engine a few years ago, 4WD works with locking hubs, new Courser traction LT tires, front brakes overhauled, high torque 12V starter, new carburetor, good battery, lights work, 12V conversion with Chevy alternator, new temp guage and ammeter. Body is hunting jeep quality with some pitting in floor pan. This jeep is ready to go to deer lease as is. Needs literally nothing.”
UPDATE: Price dropped to $3500.

This doesn’t run.

This has not been restored. However, it has been dented.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1200
This had a V8 swap in it. It has very early data plates, which suggests it was a VEC. It also has the tool indents. I can’t tell if it has a column shift still or not. It has the square washers on the windshield.

Has Orig 4 cyl, orig 3 speed transmission, rebuilt carb, saginaw steering box, new plugs, condenser, points and runs xlnt. Has new top and doors. $3200 OBO”
This runs and drives. I can’t quite tell, but I think this has tool indents?

“I just finished restoring this jeep from the ground up as you can see from the pictures. Most every new part came from ” Kaiser Willys jeep” part house.I have all receipts. Everything either new or rebuilt. Frame has been sandblasted, primed and painted. The body was redone and the underside was undercoated with bedliner to protect it from the weather.All new brakes, excluding the master cyl. brake lines, wheel cyls, shoes and e energy brake too. The engine is from a 1953 Willys Truck, F- Head, 134. Runs great ,doesn’t use any oil. Holds good oil pressure. Has new Holly Carburator,fuel punp, water pump,clutch, preasureplate and throw out bearing. New radiator. The 3 speed trany and transfer have been professionally rebuilt and so has the front 4 wheel drive axle. New stock exhaust .New 12volt wiring. Has a rebuilt heater. New chrome wheels . rear tires are new, fronts are in good condition. The windshield is from a 1950 CJ3a for better viewing with new glass and rubber.The milage is not correct since the speedometer is a aftermarket one that I already had.I have driven it about 50 miles since I completed it. Everything seem to be working good. I have tried to fair and explane everything I can about the jeep.”

“New powder coat paint on frame. Hood, grill, fenders and window frame sandblasted. No motor. Tubs in poor condition. Diferential and drive train in good shape.”

“Up for sale is a 1946 flat fender Jeep CJ2A Project. Good body, rebuilt Dana transfer case (spicer 18) that has not yet been used. Included is a GM SM465 4 speed trans with Novak adapted main shaft to fit the Dana 18. Both fenders and radiator support/grill are in good shape. Also included with this jeep is a complete 1986 Astro van for the V6 engine and computer and anything else. Also have a power brake unit with overhead pedals for installation.
