About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
(07/27/2012) Runs and drives, but could use a makeover.

(07/10/2012) The title of this ad reads “1952 CJ-2A Army Brat Jeep”. I’m not sure what model this “COMPLETELY RESTORED” jeep yearns to be, but at the very least I would expect a working parking brake in a completely restored CJ-2A or CJ-3A.
“COMPLETELY RESTORED 1952 CJ2A – due to Windshield Frame; 12 Volt System; Leather Seats; Gloss OD Paint like the Officers Used; 16″ Wheels; 50 Claiber Ammo Box for Console; 5 Gallon Jerry Can Mounted on Back; Authentic Fire Extinguisher; British Made Siren; Custom Made Canvas Top w/Plastic Rear Window; Military Axe Mounted on Side; Rubber Faced Side Steps; All 4WD Accessories work, in High & Low Range; 2 and 4 Wheel Drive. Also a new unpacked All Weather Cover for the Jeep.”
(06/24/2012) This hasn’t been started in ten years, but looks pretty solid.
“1947 Willys Jeep, CJ2A. Four wheel drive, high and low range, 4 speed transmission. Has original flat four jeep motor. Stored in barn, hasn’t been started for 10 years. Mostly original antique. Has an aluminum hard top on it currently, included. (Soft doors in picture have never been attached, came from different Jeep.) Clear title in hand. A rare find to see one that hasn’t been heavily modified. Come take a look! (541) 889-0451. Please leave a message if no answer, and feel free to email with any questions”
Jacques emailed me yesterday with a digital copy from a color slide of a 1946 CJ-2A.
He writes, “I was raised in Reading PA but have been living in Australia for the last 37 years. Attached is a colour slide I scanned of my Dads 1946 CJ2A when very new. He bought it 1n 1947 as a demo model from a dealer in Reading who gave rides in it at the airport, now Spaatz Field to promote sales.
It was Harvest Tan with Harvard Red wheels. He had it until 1962 when he traded it for a new IH Travelall 4 x 4. Believe a mechanic at the IH dealership bought it.
Seem to remember the Jeep dealership in Reading was named Ira J Freyer. Wonder if it still exists?
Forgot to mention Dad so loved the military jeeps he used in New Guinea in the Signal Corps in WW2 that was the reason he bought a “new” CJ2A after the war.”
Bill spotted this unusual CJ-2A windshield the other day. He noted the welds look professional and as stock as other windshields he’s seen. Anyone seen anything like this one?
He writes, “It didn’t appear homemade and I didn’t see any welds or cuts that don’t look factory. I did roll it back and looked at the sheet metal on the front – it was neatly rolled and spot welded – very factory-like.”
This sounds more like a parts jeep than a project.
“This is a project.Suspension is in good shape running gear is good motor is out of jeep and needs repair.Gauges are also missing, tires have air.Not a bad start.

No pics provided. Sounds like there might be value here.
“I am cleaning up quickly and thuroughly around here to sell our house and will give you all my Jeep stuff for $1200 ! There is basically 2 flat fender bodies pretty much complete and a CJ5 body complete and a rolling lifted Cj5 chassis with 34″ Swampers . These are reccomended as Bush buggies or parts . There are no tags with the Willys Jeeps but there is tags with the Cj5 although we have lost the papers . It was never in our name and we won’t be wasting our time on that but it was last registed in Langely I think so you can do it and put it in your own name easilly .
I will try to post a pic or two later but if you’re interested you’ll bring a trailer and load up regardless of what pics I might post .”
