About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
(08/26/09) I don’t know where “sp. springs” is exactly.
“i have a cj2a body with good windshield frame, willys tailgate, and good grill, stretched 12 inches and frame set up for wagoneer springs and stretched 20 inches $250 obocall 750 9477”
(05/28/2010) The seller of this notes it is unmolested, but after seeing the paint job, I remain unconvinced 🙂
“1948 Willys CJ2A. Very nice restorable condition. I was going to restore but I have way too many projects. Has original engine and wheels. Nice unmolested jeep for a project. seats are not original. I was told it ran great before being parked a few years ago but I can not varify that. The picture is before power washing. The red color is mostly old paint showing. I has been painted a few times. Good Title!!”
“1945 Willys Jeep CJ-2A 4X4, runs, drives, and stops great. Great vehicle for a deer lease or mountain elk hunts. • 4WD works good, Hi or Lo range transfer case • Original flat head motor runs excellent. • New 1-wire alternator (no troublesome external voltage regulator) • New complete exhaust system • New master cylinder • New distributor, rotor, and cap • Front steering stabilizer • Tow bar • Four military tires • Includes spare tire • $2500”
It’s not completely stock, but appears in good condition.
“To view more photos of this vehicle visit us at www.newmeadowsauto.com or call 207-443-1442 and ask Tony to schedule a test drive. 1947 Jeep Willys…..pinch the key and go this one is in beautiful running condition……the flat head 4 cyl has been replaced perfectly with a buick 225……check out the pics”
(04/17/2010) There are front and rear PTOs on this CJ-2A. What is the piece of equipment hooked to the rear PTO? Is that a rear winch? It looks like there might be some interesting history with this as well.
“To view more photos of this vehicle visit us at www.newmeadowsauto.com or call 207-443-1442 and ask Tony to schedule a test drive. RUNS, DRIVES…NOT ROAD WORTHY……PLOW WORKS ……WINCH WORKS……CHAINS FOR THE TIRES. AMAZING PIECE OF AMERICAN HISTORY”

This has got some good parts — a nice rims, wheels, and a cage. The gas tank inlet is a little odd. I’m not sure how/why that was changed. There’s no drain hole either. Maybe this is a fiberglass body?
“1946 willys jeep, project car, ford V8, headers and custom exhaust, email for info and more pictures.”
This looks like a solid vehicle, but still needs to be reassembled.
“1946 Jeep Willy’s CJ2A. This Jeep and its parts are sold in as is condition. The engine was running perfect when I took it apart to put all new gaskets, main seals, cap, rotor, plugs, wires and more. The transmission went out and that is why I started taking things apart. The new transmission has been installed. The old one leaked and wouldn’t shift. the new one has all new seals and shift through all the gears. The Jeep also comes with the alternator, starter, carburetor and more. I just don’t have the time for the little jeep anymore and have too many other toys that work. The fenders need new bolts to hold them on. The rear left tire goes flat but the rest hold air no problem. There is very minimal rust on the Jeep. It has been in Arkansas for just under 2 years and has spent the rest of its life in the hills of Yosemite Calif. The time if you have it to put it together will make this a great putt putt for the road or ranch.”
(03/21/2010) Includes emergency brake (installed under the front, driver’s-side wheel).
“1948 willys cj2s, needs tranny rebuilt, has a 225 odd fire v6 that run, axels are good, brakes are good, has rust, need restored. I used the tranny out of it for another jeep and no longer need this one so its time to sell. Rebuild or replace the tranny, one front brake hose, and this will drive. I have tranny/transfer case with it, its all there, its all there except the park grake handle ( I never had one ) just need rebuilt and put back in.Top is in ok condition, its all stock except the v6. all the lights work. I have no room to keep this, so it needs a new home.”
“For sale or trade is a 1946 Willys CJ2A. I’m willing to trade for Toyota MR2 (1991-1994), Ford truck 4×4 regular cab (1976-1979), or Jeep Wrangler TJ (1997 or newer). It has:
Clear title. Gun Stone Gray in color. Restoration 95% done and need drive shafts shorten and mounted. Has Chevy 350 small block. TH350 automatic with new B&M shifter. Dana 20 Transfer. Dana 30 with disc brake front. AMC 20 rear. Gear ratio is 3.54. Still have original and functional drive train for spare parts. Recaro like front seats. 6 point roll cage. New soft top.”
There is certainly some work that would improve this build, but the platform doesn’t fit too badly. I’d be curious to give it a test spin just to see how it handles.
“1947 CJ2A flat fender. All chevy running gear with a 4.7ltr V6, 700r4 transmission, independent front suspension with auto hubs(4 high and low) tilt steering, really tight drivetrain, power steering, new alternator, front disc brakes and oversized drum on the back. All the gauges work, good solid floors, nice seats(perfect condition), good glass, newer exhaust, all lights work which would include turn signals, headlights, break lights and parking lights….”
