“This “Civilian Jeep” was restored in 1987 into this classic driver. It is all original except the charging system which was converted from a 6v to a 12v. This 4WD has been loved by one owner since 1960 and has PTO (power take off). Must see to appreciate this great driver. Offering a steal at $7500 but may be willing to negotiate or trade with reasonable circumstances. Give me a call with any questions or to take a look.”

“First civilian model—Post World War II CJ Jeep.
Ford Flathead 4-cylinder motor runs good, 3 speed trans. I drive this several times every month to keep everything functioning.
4 wheel drive works good. New front wheel locking hubs. Electrical system converted to 12 volts. Much easier starting with this conversion.
Street legal with headlights, taillights and brake lights.
Brand new tires–Remington Mud Brute radials LT235/75/15.
Lots of original Willys parts on this Jeep, ready to be restored.

“Four Willys Jeeps for sale.Two of them are parts jeeps. I have a 1947 with the title which is camo painted runs good and I also have a 1951 with the title which is blue. “Perfect hunting rig or weekend cruiser. Very reliable and fun to drive. Original 4-cylinder flathead. Newer BFG’s on chrome wheels. Rebuilt engine, front bearings & locking hubs. Raised back seat and rear caro rack/spare tire holder. Bimini top. Converted to 12v with alternator. Comes with removable tow-bar.”

“1948 Willys Jeep. Unfinished project car has been in storage (garaged) for over 30 years. Engine was completely rebuilt, brakes rebuilt except for master cylinder, body patched to look okay if you don’t look too close. Has full canvas top and snow plow. Needs some work to get back to drivable condition. Was last started about five years ago and ran OK then. E-mail any questions.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1700
(09/30/2011) This is a running jeep, though it runs on propane. It sounds like it might be a good deal, though it needs a few things.
“The Willys is a 1947 CJ2A. I picked it up near Fresno last year with no eng and trans. I found an orig T90 and Dana 18. in Wickenberg AZ. At this point I was going to restore it back to original I was unable to find a flat head 134.
I made the decision change the engine.
I changed it from a 78 truck 30k on the engine. Re-sealed the engine converted it to run on propane with Impaco 425 kit . I used Novak adapters for the trans and engine mounts a new Griffin aluminum radiator. The Willy’s starts and runs you can drive it. All it needs is a electric fan and an exhaust to be done.”
This might be a good price.
