About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
I think this is the first jeep I've posted from Alabama. Either that's a brand new body or someone has taken very good care of that jeep.
"1946 Willys' Jeep Model CJ2A – civilian style. Yellow with black interior and black bikini top. All new (not rebuilt) front end, steering, tow ends, both transmissions and belts, hoses, etc. Parade ready."
This is a sharp looking jeep. I would guess the reserve is pretty high on this one.
"For Sale: 1947 Willys Jeep 4×4. Spent most of its life in California. Absolutely NO rust. The paint is not perfect and has some chips. It has a GM V-6 with roller rockers, aluminum high rise intake with 4 barrel carb, headers, spark arrester header mufflers, electronic ignition, high performance clutch with T-10 4 speed, big face tac, true-loc axles, 3 inch lift, aluminum wheels with 33 inch mud tires, 2 fuel tanks. Grant steering wheel (also have original big Willys steering wheel and side mirrors), Bimini and full convertable top with canvas doors. The motor has less than 5000 miles on it and is either built by Kenne Bell or has Kenne Bell parts (this information was provided by previous owner)…. Call Dave at (419)303-4918."
It looks like the steps have been modified. Probably should do a close rust check of that area.

A reader named David has shared an old picture of his parents racing around the sand dunes in what looks to be a CJ-2A. This picture is a good reminder that you don't need a fancy jeep to go out and enjoy a day in the sand. David will be sending a few more pictures along with some background text soon. Thanks David!
“1948 Willys Jeep CJ-2A. AS-IS parts or restore. No title. The drive train is complete But the chassis is shot. We do have a few other little parts in a box that we didn’t want to walk off in the wrong hands. Overall this truck has a whole lot of potential. We also have a few other jeeps and 3 1/2 Mighty Mites for sale as well. We are liquidating some of the collection. ”
I’m gonna guess this is a 1953 CJ-3A with a 2A windshield and a MB grille. It looks like it needs a few more details completed than the seller lists.
“1953 Willys Jeep with Trailer. $5000 or Make me an offer… I have not run this jeep since I began restoration, but it ran well before I began. It does have overdrive. I am including all the parts to make it look like a 1945 Willy’s. It still needs the seat cushions and speedometer. It will need to have the gas tank hooked back up as well. Has a 6 volt system. Both Jeep and Trailer have been sand blasted and painted. Pintail hook and regular ball trailer adapter is included for the trailer. Trailer has a hill brake.”
There have been a few updates to this daily driver.
"This old willys is a daily driver. It has had almost everything replaced or rebuilt. It runs great and is very dependable. It has the original 134 cu engine in it and gets great gas mileage. I can deliver to the front range for free. Call if you have any questions 785-821-1943"
“Not Running, turns over with hand crank, all original, no modifications, have the title, good running gear and frame, needs work but could be restored to original condition, don’t have the time to start on it, make me a offer. “
The ad for this jeep is pretty funny. Note the comment "No Rot". Now, look at the pic — somewhere along the line there must have been some rot (unless that wooden box seat was a rare factory option)!
"1946 willys jeep cj2a original 4 cylinder, twin stick transfer case, some sort of wood body from previous owner, runs strong, no rot call with any offer 413-231-4677"
Here's a garage find. The starting bid of $3200 is a bit high considering this hasn't been run in a while.
"garaged original 1947 willey jeep soft top with door, not running , 4 cyclinder body mint no visable rust sold as is looks complete engine may need to be gone through for pick up only from estate sale uncle passed away has not been moved in years 2 original black calif plates unsure of auctual miles"
This seems like a reasonable price for an updated, trail ready jeep. The windshield looks like it’s a CJ-3A windshield, but it is flat. I wonder if there was some custom work done on it.
“1947 Jeep Willy’s with Chevy V6 engine. 4 speed manual transmission, power steering, tilt column, racing seats with 6 point harness and soft top. Has ultra aluminum wheels, 35″ Super Swampers and comes with 4 extra wheels. Includes tow bar.”
Final Update: Originally priced at $2800, the seller dropped the price to $1000, but changed the ad so that it was difficult to find. Eventually, the seller made good on his claim and it was given to the Youth Ranch (I missed it by two days, otherwise I would have bought it for $1000). I haven’t seen it since.
Here’s the text of the new Ad, just prior to it being given away:
THIS JEEP WAS REBUILT AND SAT 4-5 YEARS STARTS RIGHT UP NEEDS A FEW MINOR THINGS. IF NOT SOLD BY 5 PM THIS WED. I WILL DONATE IT TO YOUTH RANCH SELLING AS PARTS OR RECON. ITS BUILT OUT OF CHEVY INTL. FORD PARTS $1.000 FIRM”

Not many specifics on this flattie. I’m gonna bet this is a CJ-3A. Looks pretty old school, especially those tires. From this pic it appears the front springs are reversed.
“his thing is built to the hilt the only thing jeep is the body, intl. running gear, new built 302, 4 speed , race seats, power steering, full cage , the motor is linked to the tranny by trans adapter . done right ,all ne wiring could use tires , and a few other odds and ends . motor sounds bad ass will look”
