How about this unusual top?

“I have for sale a Willys JEEP CJ2A.  The jeep is currently titles as a 1972 because it is very hard in my state to get a new title.  The original serial number is on the jeep.  The jeep is tagged and i have driven it alot on the road.  The jeep has always performed very well for me.  The body has been patched over the years with new metal, (no bondo that i can see).  The frame is in good shape.  All the brakes have been replaced, (master cyl., wheel cyl., lines, shoes, ect. ).  The wire harness has been updated to 12 volt and all the lights work fine.  The 4 wheel drive also works great.  The engine runs good and all the gears work fine in the trans.  The water pump is new and the starter is rebuilt.  I bought this jeep when i retired 5 years ago to pull a wagon with firewood out of the woods, I am older now and find it hard to get in and out of so i bought a tractor instead.  This is a really fun little jeep and i hope some one will enjoy it as much as i have.  This is a reserve auction and i will not reveal the price.  The jeep is being sold “AS IS” with NO WARRANTY”. UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $495.

(10/03/2010) This is listed as a 1949, but I am leaning towards that being a DJ body.  That looks like a good price.

In 1959 my dad and Mr. Hatcher Williams founded a summer school for high school boys at a hunting lodge in Corolla, North Carolina. I spent nearly the whole summer at Camp Yonahnoka in the Carolina mountains while my sisters and parents practically lived at the beach. (continued)

UPDATE:  Price dropped to $5995

(03/08/2011) The VIN of #315301 on this is a little high … like 80,000 production units high.  The dash is missing a couple items, but this sure looks nice.

“Great little run around flat fender Jeep. It picked up lots of TLC as of late A list of newer parts would include Body Tub Tail gate fenders grill hood windshield frame poly gas tank Front seats rear seats Alloy wheels Mickey Thompson Tires and Rancho springs. It also has been converted from to a 12 volt system with a alternator the wipers are electric and tail lights are LED. The engine has been tuned up and is absolutely purring. The steering is tight and 4×4 is solid the idle is smooth and runs great. This Jeep does not have a soft top or a hard top or doors, sold as is the open Jeep pictured. I would recomend a bikini top to the next owner and call it good at that. This Jeep is a real eye catcher and would be a fun toy to have around. Call Shep at 208.721.1973”
