Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. The ‘body and interior are ready for complete restoration’? I’m still looking for the ‘vintage’ part of this jeep.
“This listing is for a vintage 1946 Willys CJ2A Jeep. Had been used as a prop in MASH TV show and also in many local parades. A few extra pieces were installed by the TV studio for appearance such as the front fender lamp, side handles, extra gas tank, amo boxes, helmet, shovel, field glasses and rear tire. Included are the original canvas top and side doors, which will need restoration. The jeep body and interior are ready for complete restoration. There is rust rot on body and the seat pads have deteriorated. Dash gauges are intact and believed to be working. Motor is in good condition and was last used at the local 2009 Memorial day parade. Great historic and collectible jeep ready for TLC restoration. The vehicle is being offered in AS IS condition. VIN # CJA26448 Original title available”
I think partially restored might be more accurate, though I”m not sure which parts would qualify as ‘restored’.

“For sale is a 1946 Willys CJ2A Jeep. The jeep has a 215 cu inch V8, new tires, shocks, stereo, original running gear, and it runs great. It would make a very good rock crawler or daily drive if the gears were changed out. This jeep is in excellent condition so it could be brought back to original condition. Serious inquiries only. “This jeep was originally rebuilt as a hunting rig. Has the original flathead 4, 3speed tranny with a 2 speed overdrive, soft top in decent condition, power steering added, and red top battery. It is real clean but not perfect. . I’ll be glad to consider reasonable offers, but please don’t waste my time low balling, and scammers take it somewhere else. $4500 obo”
