Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. (03/07/2011) I think the top two and bottom left pics are of the jeep for sale. The lower right, I think, is of another jeep. Though titled as a CJ-3A, it appears to have a CJ-2A body. This includes overdrive and appears solid.

It has original T90 tranny dana 18 transfer case with a warn overdrive on it. NO MOTOR need it gone. Comes with a original m38 aluminum hard top.”

“this is a 46 – 49 cj2a no title has dana 41 rear axle dana 25 front axle it has dual fuel tanks never saw one before, has a 3″ body lift on it previous owner tried to modify the fire wall….needs to be done right has a 318 with a 2wd tranny not sure about condition has 2 hoods 1 has cutout this would make a great base for a wheeler i have 2 many projects and this one has to go. 800$ or trade for??? looking for a softtop for a m38 or front straight toyota axle hit me up with offers also need some 35″ tires. knowing how to weld would make this an easy project”

(08/04/08) Here’s a tall trail jeep out of California.
“Clean 1947 Willys Jeep. 4.3 Vortec motor-fuel injected. 350 Automatic transmission. Overdrive front disk brakes. Dana 30, 27 spline detroit front locker. Dana 44, 30 spline detroit rear locker. 4:88 Gears. Spring over, high steer and 35/12.5-15 wheels. Mutiple tops included.”

(02/16/2011) This looks in good solid though it does have diamond plating which might or might not be covering issues.
“1947 CJ2 Willys most original, has been converated to 12 Volt. Runs good and is in good condition. This Willys has been well maintained and lives in the garage all year round. 3 lever shift, flat head 4, single barrel carb. Tires are failrly new also comes with a tow bar.

Here’s a good looking CJ-2A with a glass body that has a starting bid of $1,999.
“I am Selling my project Willys jeep CJ2A. It is a 1947 with an all original drive train. It has the flat 4 cylinder engine and the 3 speed tranny. The jeep runs and shifts fine. The 4wd works good. The brakes are rebuilt but need final adjustment. All new axle bearings. You will need to trailer this Willys home, but it will drive onto any trailer you put in front of it. It has a fiberglass tub, hood and fenders. The grill and windshield frame are metal and in great shape. The glass is all good. There is no cracks in any of the fiberglass. The frame is super solid. This is a great start to a nice project you could have on the road in a couple of weekends. It does need some tlc. The tires are new and the rims are freshly painted. It comes with a spare rim, nos front bumper, used lift springs, extra carbs and a garage full of spare parts. I do have a clean MA title for it. Tades are concidered so tell me what you have. Im in to harleys, sport bikes, 4wd quads and any jeep that the top comes off and is on the road.”
