The column shift has been converted and an F-head stuck into it, but otherwise looks in good shape.

“Vintage 1946 Jeep CJ2A. One owner since about 1947. Regularly serviced. Garaged for all of its life and not used for the past 25 years. Engine has been started regularly. First civilian model after WWII. Had shifter on steering column, but has been converted to a floor shift. Original flat head engine has also been replaced with the overhead valve four cylinder ‘hurricane’ engine. Large rear mounted PTO winch. Otherwise, most everything else is stock. In great shape with a ‘Koenig’ steel top. VERY little rust, if any? Repainted, upholstered and gone over mechanically in about 1956. Seats can use new upholstery. Carburetor rebuilt in 2006. Doesn’t burn oil or leak. Tires are all pretty good. Rims have a chrome ring on the rim. Everything works good. Runs great. Great for original restoration or drive it as is. No pics provided.  The seller says they can stand on the side steps.  It sounds like it’s a flattie of some type.

It seems nice enough, though not sure why they’d pull off the original steering wheel and put the sport wheel on it.

(10/27/2010) There’s been plenty of work done on this rig.

“Up for sale, like the title says, 1947 Willys Jeep CJ2A. It has been an on going project but it is time to let go. Spring over axle lift with American Racing rims and 35″ tires. Full size spare. 6 point roll cage, bucket seats, with 4 point harnesses. The axles have been swapped. Dana 44 in the rear and is locked with a mini spool and the front is a Dana 30 open with disc brakes. The motor is a Ford 289 V8 out of a 66 mustang, runs great. Front half of the frame has been boxed to handle the power/torque. Transmission is a T-18 from a 70’s ford. Low 6.32 ratio 1st gear. Transfer case is a Dana 18 twin stick, adapted with an advanced adapters kit. 4Lo 1st gear this thing crawls and does great! Custom drive shafts. Full soft top with doors. Like I said this is a project….right now it runs and drives great, however, the passenger seat needs a bracket built, and I had to cut the floor board for the transmission to fit so some of the front floor board will need replaced. I am currently working on fabbing both but it wouldnt take much to button up. This toy has plenty of power and could easily have more. I will attach a picture but if you want more feel free to email and ask, I have plenty.”
