This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1947 willys jeep, good parts or hunting in the hills vehicle. Got title but no keys, needs new ignition switch.”

“I have a 1946 jeep Willys CJ2A. It is in grate condition. It has a ford high performance 302 with a double pump Edelbrock carburetor, and a high-rise manifold. The motor came out of a stock car so it isn’t shy on power. It has the original Dana 41 axles with the original four speed transmission. It has a black leather soft top on it. The soft top is in grate condition. It doesn’t leak or have any faded marks. It has a set of 33/12.50/r16.5 wild-country mud terrain tires that only have at most 1000 miles on them. It has two bucket seats in the front and one bench seat in the back. It has a 3 inch rancho suspension lift. It has a full role cage jest in case u wants to have a little fun and don’t want to get hurt. The four-wheel drive works grate I have never had a problem with it in any type of whether. I really don’t wand to sell it so I’m at $6000 firm. I really want to trade it for a big lifted 4×4 truck or a nice AWD car. I want to try to get something close to the value of the jeep but I will look at all offers. “Old style jeep, minus windshield, engine complete rebuild, new carb, new tires, shocks, nice red paint. Dad is gone and this is one of his many unfinished projects.”
Brett spotted this fine. It looks pretty solid. I’m not sure if this runs or not. It doesn’t seem as complete as the seller believes. Maybe there are parts in a box somewhere?
“1947 Willys CJ-2A. Solid jeep, great starting point for restoration, or finish the wiring, add some seat cushions and use it as is. I’ve restored a couple of the WWII era military jeeps (MB & GPW) over the years. This was going to be my first CJ restoration, but my current work schedule isn’t going to allow time for it.

‘This might be a solid jeep.
“This jeep is awsome just started and drove it around the house today. this Willys or CJ2a has the 4 cyl flat head that runs great! the transfer and transmission also are in good shape. reverse and all gears are good. The 4×4 even works good. im telling you this is an awsome jeep As far as what i have done includes completely sanded down and painted, complete brake overhaul (new master cylinder hubs, rotors, lines) the carborator has been completely rebuilt as well, there is a brand new factory gas tank to. all fluids have been changed. oil pressure gauge work and temperature. The body is in good shape. and the floor boards are good not rusted out. I do have the title and its clean. all it needs is tail lights to be street legal. if you have any questions or want to set up a test drive please dont hesitate to call thanks”
