This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. This ain’t no ’42 (as listed in the title to the Ad). I wish I could see those vin plates better. This sure looks like an original color. Dayville is a pretty remote town in the middle of Eastern Oregon. It’s a beautiful drive whether driving from the east or the west.

(08/24/2010) Looks good .. though I always get concerned when someone has a restored a jeep and then say that ’47 was the first year for a civilian jeep. News some work.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.
“1947 Willys CJ2A Jeep with 2 additional parts jeeps. Vehicle ran when I parked it by the barn 2 years ago. I haven’t tried to start it since. The hydraulics for the plow have been removed and stored in the barn, but they do go with the jeep. The actual mileage is unknown so I listed it as 999,999 miles. One of the 2 parts jeeps is fairly complete including the engine (I haven’t tried to turn it over). The second parts jeep is fairly complete, but is missing the engine.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was listed at $950.
(10/04/2010) This might still run if you can put in some gas (bring a boat tank, the hand primer pump and an extra hose).
“I am posting it for my grandpa. Have title, and it has a towbar on front for towing. Ran about 2 years ago until it had a fuel leak at the tank, and was parked. It has two tanks, and 1 leaks.”
UPDATE: Price dropped to $1900. This has a replacement body.
(03/05/2009) “1942 jeep universal with original 4 cylinder engine and 3 speed 4×4. New steel body and engine overhaul in 1980’s. Used very little and garaged since the 1980’s. Runs well-needs a paint job and new seats. Price includes tow bar, swing away tire carrier/gas can holders. Jeep is functional, street legal with a clear title. Phone (541) 384-2303.”

(08/26/2010) It doesn’t run. I’m not sure if the tailgate was filled in or this is a modified DJ body.
“I have 1946 Willys jeep that was left to me by my father. The jeep was last restored in 1987 so it does need work and currently does not run.
