It sure looks like a project.
“CJ2A project. Body is very good condition for one this age. minor dings but needs a section under the tool box replaced. Has 15″ wheels on rolling frame but have 16″ on old tires for it. Very good grille, hood, windshield, fenders, and tailgate. Have an engine but it needs to be rebuilt. Frame has a transmission and transfer case already on it. No seats. Don’t have a title but have paper work for one after its rebuilt. Title was destroyed and the guy I got it from got all the paper work and went to WSP who told him it just needs to be inspected before a title can be issued. Other than seats have most everything needed to put it together. Radiator should be checked but is there. Might consider something interesting in trade. I like gas station items or could use landscaping and not just the labor. I have a pathway and retaining wall that need to be made.”

This hasn’t run in 10 years. How about that paint job! The rims looks unusual, too.

I think those are doors on the hood rather than a hood mod. The jeep looks good.

This runs and appears to have an ACME, Kentrol, or AJ Fiberglass body.

A new reader from Boise named Shane alerted me to this flattie that sits near Boise’s airport. It sits as if it is for sale, but I could see no for sale sign. The muffler and a few other misc parts are sitting in the back. The front turn signal/parking lights appear to use the side running lights of a semi trailer. The side steps are gone, replaced with custom bars that help hold the fenders in place. The steering and seats appear updated. Based on the rear pic, this appears to have been a late 1946 CJ-2A.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3500
This includes a Saturn OD and other new parts. However, I’d check out the body closely as the passenger side step appears to be partly pulled away from the body.

New tires, steering components, turn signals were added on. Saturn overdrive unit worth $1200. Over $5000 invested, will sacrifice for $3500.”

“I purchased this beautiful 4×4 1947 Willys Jeep for $10,000 several years back and it has just sat in my garage. I took it in and redid the carburetor and it runs like a dream. It has a Chevy V8 engine with lots and lots of power. As you can see in the pictures, it has been specially restored. The customized stainless steel dash and beautiful interior with reinforced steel plating is a joy to ride in. Coupled with a dual exhaust, it’s one hot little ride (it also comes with a CB).
