This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “I am going to sell my 48 CJ2A in order to restore a 3A I have been wanting to rebuild for some time. This jeep is in very good condition. Original 4cyl 3 speed. with NDT tires and rims including mounted spare. Solid jeep not perfect condition but very nice. Jeep RUNS and DRIVES. Starter is acting up and fuel lines could be flushed as it has set in a shed for two years but was licensed and on the road in 2006/2007. I also ran recently with gas through carb. Belonged to an older gentleman who fixed up to drive in parades. Couple spots in floor board(Small)and one wear mark on drivers side paint but very good. I havent seen a cleaner original split windsheild frame and I have seven jeeps. Jeep has obviously been repainted at one time but nicely done and no visible bondo. Clean tailgate, frame, body ect. Possibly willing to help deliver at purchasers expense. Clean nebraska title with original serial num. and plate If you have questions, call me 308-325- 2858. One of the bodies is a VEC body.
“I have 3 Cj2a jeeps for sale. The first is a rolling chasis with body and T-90 transmission and spicer 18 transfercase. I do not have the a hood or windshield. This jeep is very solid and straight. It has a little rust but nothing major for it’s age. The next 2 jeeps are tubs only. One is has had some repair nice repair work done to the floor boards and quarters. The other tub is in several sections and has rust. I am also selling an aluminum hard top with hard doors. These are very hard to come by. It is aluminum so there are no rust issues! Only serious buyers should reply. These are original jeeps and are only getting harder and more expensive to find. I may have a few other misc parts”

The body almost looks like a VEC as it appears to have an indent on the side.
“1947 willys cj-2a , motor runs strong (no smoke). new gas tank & lines , new fuel pump. new tires & rims. new distributor. some new brake lines & rebuilt master cyl. the frame and body is in very good cond.”
This VEC is a column shift with a Koenig hard top and a bumper weight. The starting bid is only $850.
“1946 Willys Jeep with Koenig hard top and front bumper weight. This is the pink and white jeep in the pic. The blue jeep is in another auction. Have not had it running. Engine and trans were both stuck when I got it, but are both free now. I do have the head that goes with the jeep. will need front floor pans. Typical rust for it’s age. frame looks good. Here’s a nice looking CJ.
“48 Cj2 Jeep. Has later F-Head motor completely rebuilt. Holds 45 lbs. oil pressure hot idle. Has had all overlap seams removed. Has some body filler but not much. Has urethane liner on the under side and inside. Mechanically very good.”

This looks like it’s in good shape. With the solid body and plow, this might be a good deal.

1948 Willys CJ-2A (Shown with CJ-3A Windshield frame), No top, 4 Cyl, locking hubs, 6-ft plow, runs good, good brakes. Solid but not a daily driver. I have used this for plowing my driveway for the last 15 years.”
UPDATE: Price dropped to $700. It appears the seller has put some of the ’46 back together again based on the most recent pics (the two pics on the top).
(02/27/2010) This looks like a pile of parts. Note the cage is probably for a CJ-5, which is why it doesn’t fit properly in the front. I like the two old slot rims. I think you’ll need to get two additional jeeps just to make one whole one out of these two.
