About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

“1948 Willy’s. 4×4 has fiber glass body since original rusted out, but original engine, trans, transfer case, axles, etc. Windshield and windshield frame are original as well and do still fold. Runs and drives great. Sitting on 35’s. Everything works as it should. Seats are removable for easy clean out. Fires up everytime and will definitely put a smile on your face! Yes it does have a title”
“1948 Willys CJ2a; Engine does NOT turn; Needs Restoration; Very Complete; Numbers Matching; Missing Carb, Battery, Front Lockout Hubs; Transfer Case PTO Cover. Floor Rusted Out. Clear Title.”
“Cj 2a old jeep, no title, hard cab, home made snow plow, complete and pretty straight. Floor pans look OK from on top but cross members and floor rusted out underneath. Engine turns by hand but have never tried to start it.”
(10/26/2021) Lot of original jeep here. It doesn’t run.
Up for sale is a very complete original 1946 CJ2A. I will start off saying that it does not currently run but would not take much work to get it running. All of the correct original drivetrain is there and in good shape. I believe the transmission and transfer case will most likely need to be gone through. The rear driveshaft and emergency brake drum assembly are currently out of it as the previous owner was fixing a seal in the transfer case. But this Jeep is a true barn find and has not been messed with besides the one paint job it had over its original harvest tan and the addition of the incorrect tail lights.
It still has whats left of the original fabric on the drivers seat, early short side view mirror, 16” motor wheels, and all but one of its data tags (small body tag on the firewall). This is a 3 tag CJ2A so it is technically an EC or early civilian. This was one of the first floor shift Jeeps after they switched from column shift. The frame is in very good shape. The sheet metal is in good shape but the tub will definitely need some repairs including the front floors, tool box and parts of the rear floor. I believe it would be an excellent candidate for restoration as everything is there and in usable shape. It would also be neat to get it running and drive it just like it is. I just have too many projects right now and don’t have the time to give this jeep the attention it deserves. It will be sold with a bill of sale only, it does not have a title. I am asking $4800. It is located in Westbrook Connecticut.
” 1947 Willys CJ2A. 4WD A survivor. With steel cab, side mounted spare tire, Reese Hitch on back. 4 cylinder Willys engine. Seat belts, hand rails and steps added for convenience & safety. Starts & runs good. Not a Wrangler – but FB forced me to pick a similar model.”
