Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “For Sale 1946 Willys Jeep. Untitled and set up for hunting or ranching. Industrial foam filled tires-(NO FLATS). New springs front & back, New gas tank. New brakes front & back, new alternator. Newly rebuilt starter —-This jeep runs and works great, the only reason I want to sell it is to restore a CJ5 I just bought”

(01/12/10) This CJ-2A has a few interesting features. One is the spare tire holder, which uses a strategy I’m considering for my build. Also, this jeep runs the treadwright retread tires.
“1949 CJ2A – Excellent (not perfect) condition. Has been redone from the ground up. A must see. Starts, runs, steers, brakes. Many features including a Warn overdrive, Tulsa Ramsey winch (electric), Saginaw steering, 12 volt electric system with alternator and modern lights. I have used it – it is not a garage decoration. Engine was torn down, did not need rebuilt/bored…and was filled with new parts. Transmission and Transfer case have been rebuilt. Has a dual master cylinder. Parking brake works.”

(10/06/09) I don’t anything to indicate this is a ’45 or a VEC. It appears the body is a replacement body. It appears in good shape.

This looks like a good price on a nicely updated CJ-2A.
“47 Jeep Flat Fender with 350 fuel injected chev with T465 4sp and 205 transfer case. Detroit lockers front nd rear, marlin crawler alloy front axles, 35X12.5 tires (50%), power steering and brakes, Chev tilt wheel w/working turn sigs, amfmcd, tow bar, Best top & bimini top, 8000# Warn winch, aluminum radiator, heater & more. Will sell for 4250 which is much less than invested.

(05/10/09) This jeep looks good. It appears to have an updated motor of some type as I think I see a header coming down on the passenger side. It doesn’t look like there’s a muffler attached to the header.
“I have been storing my fathers 1946 Willys hoping to one day restore it in his memory. Unfortunately, with the present economy I am not working and can’t afford the extra storage fee. It was last restored in 1989 so is in need of a facelift. It has a 350 small block with headers and custom built roll bar. If your a jeep lover you will be familiar with the Armstrong tires that it rolls on and the Warn wench that it has up front. Currentley, it is non-op and needs alittle TLC. It is very hard part with this vehicle so serious inquires only.”
