(12/07/09) This is very much a project still.  I love the Hayden area.  I still have relatives up there and if I could make a good living up there, I’d move in a heartbeat.

“I have a stock 1947 Willys CJ-2A, the body work is 95% complete and the frame has been blasted, primed and powder coated black along with the wheels. The engine is in good condition and just needs rebuilt since it has sat for along time. Th engine is #’s matching down to the generator and voltage regulator.”

(06/23/09) The suspension has been highly modified.

“1949 willlys jeep with all toyota running gear; 20r eng, transmission, transfer case and rear ends. Great project to finish up and get out on the trail. Needs a few things finished up but I have all the parts needed. I also have two toyota parts rigs that can go with it for free. It has a soft top but not in great shape and it also has a new bikini top and new tires.”

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was  on eBay. Possibly a Porter & Reed hardtop.

Here’s a CJ-2A that has the spare tire on the driver side and the bow holders on the passenger side.  I see no evidence to indicate this was a military vehicle or a military ambulance.

“I am selling a 1948 Willys for a friend of mine.  It runs good, all tires hold air, and it’s fun to drive around the farm.  It has a clear missouri title.  He was told that it used to be a military ambulance.  I have posted several pics of it, but I can get all the pics you need, so just send me an email and tell me what you would like to see. I am starting the auction at the lowest price he said he would take for the willys, but if you want to make a reasonable offer I will ask him if he will take it.”
